Dunoon hotel A warm welcome awaits you at Bay House Hotel from the owners Linda and Rick Murry. The small non smoking, family run hotel has been awarded 3 Stars by the Scottish Tourist Board.

Bay House Hotel is situated on the quiet, traffic free West Bay Promenade, just a few steps away from Dunoon town center, with spectacular views of the Firth of Clyde and the Islands of Arran, Bute and the Cumbraes.

Bay House Hotel Accommodation

The hotel features 6 well presented rooms in various sizes, includes one double room and two spacious family rooms. All our rooms are competitively priced, additionally we have regularly updated Specials and Packages (such as Dinner, Bed and Breakfast Packages or Golf Specials) with further savings available.

Of our 6 rooms, 3 have sea views. Our spacious family and double rooms are both en-suite with our single room providing a shower and wash hand basin but with separate toilet.

A further large family room and 2 twin rooms all en-suite complete the accommodation. All our rooms have colour TV, tea & coffee making facilities, alarm clock radios and hairdryers.

WiFi free access.

Guest Lounge
The very tastefully decorated guest lounge with it's splendid high ceiling, and decorative mouldings has magnificent views over the Firth of Clyde, a wonderful room to relax and unwind.

Dining Room
Our dining room on the ground floor overlooks West Bay, whilst enjoying your breakfast or evening meal you may see variations of shipping and sea life, the view is never the same.

Dining
We are committed to home cooking, taking into consideration guests likes, dislikes, allergy or dietary requirements. The best of local produce is used, our meat delivered from a local butcher.

Evening 3 Course Meal could include homemade Broccoli and Stilton Soup, Venison Casserole, Shallow Fried Haddock served with a Whisky and Cream Sauce, followed by Homemade Apple Pie, Sherry Trifle or Fresh Cream & Chocolate Profiteroles.

We no longer have a licence but feel free to bring your own bottle of wine and there'll just be a small charge for corkage. After your meal, we have a beautiful front garden for relaxing, sunbathing and listening to the waves lapping on the beach.

Checking in time after mid-day to 10.00pm, checking out time 10.00am.

Attractions
The Hotel is an ideal base for touring the Cowal Peninsula and surrounding areas. The locality boasts some of the finest scenery in Scotland with ample opportunities for walking, cycling, golf, bowls and sightseeing. The Lochs provide more amazing sights with the mountains providing the striking backdrop. Loch Lomond is about 50 minutes drive from us.

DIRECTIONS
Getting there from the Information Centre:

From Tourist Information Centre turn right and proceed to mini roundabout at main ferry terminal, turn left and proceed past McColls Hotel, immediately turn left down Park Avenue, cross Clyde Street and turn right to Hotel. If on foot, before McColls veer left at Yachtsman Cafe, along Promenade to hotel. Approximately 300 metres.

Getting There by Railway:
From Glasgow Central take train to Gourock, boarding ferry at Gourock Station. On leaving ferry turn left along Promenade for about 500 metres until you reach the hotel.

Getting there by Aeroplane:
From Glasgow Airport take M8 or train from Paisley to Gourock. Then take Caledonian MacBrayne or Western Ferry to Dunoon or Hunters Quay. On leaving the ferry turn left past McColls Hotel, left down Park Avenue across Clyde Street and turn right.

If arriving by Western Ferry turn left along coast road until you meet the main road at main ferry terminal, following directions as above.

Getting There by Ferry:
From Gourock take Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry or Western Ferry to Dunoon. On arrival turn left past McColls Hotel and left at Park Avenue, cross Clyde Street and turn right into hotel. If on foot, turn left along the Promenade, keeping sea on your left, until you reach the hotel, approximately 500 metres.

If arriving by Western Ferry turn left along coastal road until you reach main ferry terminal, turn left and follow directions as above.
