Norwood
Hall Hotel was built in 1881 on the site of the 15th Century Pitfodels
Castle. This truly magnificent Victorian mansion exudes character and
charm, with roaring log fires, sweeping staircases and magnificent interior
design.
Set in seven acres of secluded gardens and woodlands this four star hotel
and conference centre is the ideal venue to host your business meeting,
team away day, wedding or family gathering.
Situated at the gateway to Royal Deeside in an area of outstanding beauty,
the cosmopolitan City of Aberdeen is steeped in history with a vast array
of museums and art galleries as well as offering fantastic shopping and
a vibrant nightlife scene. As you drive along the tree-lined avenue and

Norwood Hall Accommodation
Norwood Hall has 36 en-suite bedrooms including deluxe junior suites,
four poster rooms and superb original house rooms, which include all the
luxury and modern facilities of a 4 star hotel, whilst still retaining
the history and ambience of days gone by.
We have the following room types available:
Double Rooms
Comfortable room with Double Bed, every room features a plasma TV and
modem point. These rooms are ensuite with bath and overhead shower. Included
in the room are hospitality tray, iron & ironing board and direct
dial telephone.
Executive Rooms
These rooms are light and spacious with a Double Bed. They have a generous
sized working desk and modem point. WiFi is available for a daily charge.
These rooms also include hospitality tray, iron and ironing board, direct
dial telephone and satellite TV. All rooms are ensuite with bath and walk-in
shower.
Four Poster Suite
The Four Poster Suite is a very spacious and light room. There is a seating
area in front of the large bay window with view overlooking the hotel
grounds. The room also includes hospitality tray, iron and ironing board,
direct dial telephone and satellite TV. All rooms are ensuite with bath
and walk-in shower.
Original House Room
Situated in the Original House, which dates back to the 19th Century,
these rooms are very light and spacious with a Double Bed. Each room has
been tastefully decorated. They have a generous sized working desk, plasma
TV and an iPod docking station.
These rooms also include hospitality tray, iron and iron board. All
rooms are ensuite with bath and some have walk-in showers.
Original House Suite
Situated in the Original House, which dates back to the 19th Century,
these rooms are light and spacious, with a Double Bed. This room has been
tastefully decorated and is an excellent example of old meets new. There
is a comfortable seating area to relax and enjoy the views over our grounds.
The room also features a plasma TV, iPod docking station and ensuite
with bath and walk-in shower. Within the room there is also iron and iron
board and hospitality tray.
** A further 37 Executive bedrooms in our new extension. These rooms
are contemporary and spacious with a generous working desk and WiFi. All
rooms will be ensuite with bath and walk-in shower.
Cuisine
Sit back and relax as our team of award winning chefs prepare for you
a meal worthy of an AA Rosette awarded restaurant. Using only the finest
of local ingredients with creativity and passion, culinary delights await
you.
Tapestry Restaurant
We take great pride in our menu and wine list. We source only the best
available produce from suppliers who meet our strict quality standards.
Our fish is delivered daily from renowned Scottish fishmongers George
Campbell and Sons. Our fish is landed daily in the traditional fishing
ports of Scrabster and Fraserborough from top producing boats such as
'Boy Andrew, Sparkling Star, the Caspian and Minerva'.
Scallops are harvested from the clean cold waters of Scourie in Sutherland
in the north of Scotland. We take pride in using the award winning Loch
Duart Salmon renowned for its great taste and the ethical practises used
by its' producers.
Our game is specially selected for us by Braehead Foods. Braehead Foods
work in conjunction with well established Scottish estates such as Blair
Atholl, Ardverike and Balmoral to provide us with wild venison and pigeon.
Beef and Lamb are carefully sourced for us by Scotbeef. All our beef
products are from natural Scottish pastures and are hung for 21 days.
Pork is sourced from the Freedom Food Approved farms of East Anglia and
our chicken is corn fed free range, both of which can be traced to its
point of origin.
An extensive wine list is available with a wide range of fine wines,
specially selected by our company sommelier to compliment your meal and
special occasion.
Georgian Lounge
Relax in the surroundings of our elegant Georgian Bar with its graded
wallpaper, roaring fire and many of the features from the Victorian era.
Enjoy a pre dinner aperitif or choose from our extensive range of malt
whiskies in front of the roaring log fire in either the Georgian Lounge
or the stately Library with traditional rich wood panelling.

meetings on every scale from private board meetings in our executive boardroom
to presentations for up to 300 delegates, theatre style in our Pitfodels
Suite.

Pitfodels Suite
Our Pitfodels Suite is our main banqueting and conference suite, which
is very spacious and has natural daylight, it is the ultimate room for
hosting large meetings, corporate events and banquets. The Pitfodels Suite
has both the space and facilities for up to 300 guests to work or dine.
Hotel Inchgarth Suite
Our Inchgarth Suite is a spectacular room suitable for conferences and
private dinners. The room is situated in the original house.
Garthdee Suite
This modern and spacious room has natural daylight is an ideal room to
hold your meeting or seminar.
Boardroom
This modern boardroom is the perfect setting to chair your meeting or
to entertain up to 12 guests for a private dinner.
Devenick Suite
On the first floor of the new conference centre with all the services
you would expect from a modern conference facility. Can cater for up to
35 delegates.
Inchgarth Suite 1 - 4
Situated in the brand new, dedicated conference centre, the Inchgarth
Suite offers four spacious meeting rooms or can open out for larger conferences.
Murtle
Superb setting within the new conference centre for smaller meetings and
mini conferences.
Drumoak
Another well appointed room for smaller events within Norwood Hall's brand
new conference centre.

DIRECTIONS
Norwood Hall is situated in the leafy West End of Aberdeen, a mile from
the A90. It is only 10 minutes drive from the City Centre, bus and rail
stations, harbour and all the main industrial estates on the south side
of the City. The airport is in easy reach, only 20 minutes dive away.
Approaching from South:
Following the A90 toward the City, cross over the first roundabout and
over the Bridge of Dee, then turn left at the Boots/Asda roundabout. Continue
for approx. 1 mile up Garthdee Road and past Robert Gordon University.
Norwood Hall is on your left.
Approaching from North:
Follow the signs heading south/Dundee and at the Boots/Asda roundabout
take the third exit. Follow directions as before.
