Palmwag is a picturesque oasis on the banks of the ephemeral Uniab river in the dry and arid Kaokoveld in the Kunene Region of Namibia.

Uniab river in the dry and arid Kaokoveld in the Kunene Region of Namibia. The water of the Uniab flows mostly subterraneously, but at Palmwag, it comes to the surface as springs, inviting the desert-adapted elephants and rhinos to drink and enjoy the greenery around the camp.

Palmwag lies between Kaokoland, the Skeleton Coast and Etosha National Park, making it an ideal stopover when travelling between these beautiful regions.
