The entrance gate at Sesriem opens at sunrise and closes at sunset, which means guests staying inside the park have the opportunity to visit the spectacular sights at Sossusvlei from before sunrise until after sunset - gaining an additional hour for photography and adventure.
Sossus Dune Lodge Accommodation
Built with a sensitivity towards the environment and leaving a very light footprint, the wooden, thatch and canvas units are connected to each other and to the communal areas by raised wooden walkways.
Twenty-five spacious chalets blend into the natural surroundings and have views on the dunes, the mountains or Sesriem Canyon.

Twin Chalets
Canvas walls and thatched roof give the chalets a typical African feel and the wooden framed windows offer views over the magnificent desert landscape.

The 23 Desert Chalets are furnished with two 3/4-beds, providing accommodation for a maximum of two persons.
Mosquito nets over the beds enable guests to sleep with an open door to let in the night-air.
The en-suite bathrooms have hot showers, double basins and flush toilets.
Eco-friendly toiletries are supplied. The make-up mirror has a light and a hairdryer adds to the luxury.

Two of the chalets are furnished with a double bed in each and these are set at the end of the row of chalets, providing privacy for honeymooners.
The luxurious and comfortable bed with a mosquito net over the bed, create an intimate and romantic setting and beautiful ambiance.
A small open-air lounge with a swimming bed as well as a comfortable sofa is available at the honeymoon suite.
You will be spoiled with a small bottle of champagne, a snack platter and a fruit basket, and the minibar is stocked.
