7 night Kruger Park Self-Drive

Example Itinerary

Day 1

Collect your vehicle from chosen location (all airports and major cities) load up your bags and drive to Kruger National Park.

On arrival at Numbi Gate you will hand in your South Africa National Park (SANP) paperwork (all paperwork is emailed to you prior to departure) and you will need to pay the entrance fee, your SANP paperwork will be returned to you for handing in at the restcamp.

This is a good time to buy a Kruger Map which is available in English, French, German and Spanish. Then you are into the park so keep your eyes peeled and get the cameras and binoculars ready because you are now officially on safari and could see anything!

Your accommodation tonight will be at one of the closest camps so if you are arriving later in the day you can make you way straight there (you must be in the restcamp between dusk and dawn). At the camp hand in the sanparks paperwork and they will check you in and explain where your room or chalet is located as well as where everything in the camp is (shop, restaurant, swimming pool etc) and then you can move into your new safari home.

Days 2 & 3

Enjoy game driving around the park on your own timetable, remember to check the sightings board each day and put in the pins where you saw each of the animals.

During the day you can call into any of the other camps for drinks, food and toilet stops. Each night allow plenty time to be back at your camp by dusk.

Day 4

Today you will relocate to a different area of the park, so pack your vehicle and enjoy game driving through the park to a more Northerly part of Kruger, where you will check in as before. Now you have a new area to explore!

Days 5, 6 & 7

You know the routine, out in the wild game spotting ticking off all the animals and birds you see and in the evenings remember to look up and admire the stars before you go to bed with the sounds of the bush all around.

Day 8

Time to head out of the park and back to the airport / city (of your choice) to drop off the vehicle.

This price is for the above itinerary based on two people sharing in a two bed chalet and hire of a Citi golf.
