Situated on the banks of the enthralling Zambezi River is this extraordinary two-storey 77-roomed hotel, which comprises of 72 river facing rooms, and 5 lavish suites positioned in view of the Siloka Island. The David Livingstone Lodge, named after the European explorer who gave Victoria Falls its name , is in close proximity of the world-renowned falls, affording guests the opportunity to take guided trips to view the waterfalls.

The rooms in the lodge have large double beds with mosquito nets, televisions with access to satellite channels, radio-alarm clocks and hairdryers, mini bar and coffee / tea station, telephones, wireless internet, and air conditioning. 24 hour room service, wake-up calls and a laundry service are also provided by the lodge.

Dining facilities are offered by two restaurants - one within the main lodge, and another on the outside, surrounding the tranquil infinity pool.

The lodge has a superbly located intimate 40 seater conference room ideal for executive breakaways or board meetings, a state of the art conference centre is planned to open mid 2012. David Livingstone Spa & Wellness Centre offers a wide variety of treatments while guests relax and listen to the calming sounds of the Zambezi in flow and Victoria falls from a short distance.

Meals are served at Kalai restaurant - a culturally inspired setting situated in the main lodge with contemporary afro-Arabian meals, freshly flavoured, aromatic and healthy - and at Gwembe Terrace surrounding the pool or sip a cocktail at our Ujiji bar while watching the magnificent African sunset.

Activities in the area include: cruises on the M.V. Lady Livingstone, a three-decker vessel perfect for viewing hippos, elephants and crocodiles; walks with lions or an elephant safari or interaction in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park; Jet Extreme, powering through Zambezi’s rapids in Bakota Gorge. Helicopter and microlight flights for fantastic experiences over the falls and river channels, horse riding, tours to the falls and picnics on Livingstone Island, game drives and canoeing. For the more adventurous at heart white water rafting, tandem kayaking, abseiling or bungi-jumping the gorge.

Accommodation at the David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa consists of 77 rooms, all en-suite, of which 5 are suites, 4 rooms inter-lead and are ideal for families and 2 rooms accommodate the disabled comfortably. The lower deck accommodates 74 people, middle deck accommodates 50 people and the upper exclusive deck accommodates 20 persons.
