Avocado Grove Guest House Accommodation

Rooms and Facilities:
The house is comprised of a spacious living area, with separate TV areas, large fully fitted kitchen with dining area with seating for 8.
There are four bedrooms available each with their own bathroom. Outside there is a large shaded verandah, gardens and secure parking for your cars.

Master Bedroom (1st floor)
- Large room with a queen-sized bed (equivalent to UK king-sized)
- Air-conditioning
- Dressing room
- Ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, bath, toilet, double basins and shaver point
·-Access to the large 1st floor balcony with views over the garden and beyond

Bedroom 2 (1st floor)
- Large room with either twin beds or king-sized bed (equivalent to UK superking size)
- Air-conditioning
- Fitted wardrobes
- Ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, bath, toilet and shaver point
- Access to the large 1st floor balcony with views over the garden

Bedroom 3 (ground floor)
- Large room with either twin beds or king-sized bed (equivalent to UK superking size)
- Fitted wardrobes
- Ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, bath and toilet
- Fan

Bedroom 4 (ground floor)
- The smallest of the bedrooms with a queen-sized bed
- Fitted wardrobes
- Private bathroom (not ensuite) with separate toilet

Sitting room (ground floor)
Open plan sitting room with sofas and armchairs and double doors opening onto the verandah overlooking the gardens. Within the open plan area there is a separate TV area with a sofa, armchair and flat screen TV.

Sitting room (first floor)
In addition to the open plan sitting room on the ground floor, there is also a large sitting room area on the first floor, which the bedrooms lead off.
There is a sofa and armchair and flat screen TV in the sitting room on the first floor and double doors open onto the large balcony overlooking the gardens.

Kitchen & dining area
There is a beautiful rosewood fitted kitchen with granite tops equipped with an american style fridge/freezer; gas hob, large electric oven, combination microwave/grill oven and stainless steel extractor fan.
Off the kitchen there is a utility/scullery area with a dishwasher, double sink, washing machine which leads out to an enclosed courtyard with drying lines.
Off the kitchen is the dining area with a table large enough to seat 8 people which has a door opening onto the verandah.

Verandah
There is a large shaded verandah with patio table and chairs for 8 for enjoyable meals outside – and no house in South Africa would be complete without a braai (BBQ)! From the first floor balcony you can see Legogote mountain (shaped like a lion lying down)

Kruger National Park
The obvious attraction are the wonders and wildlife of Kruger National Park, which is mere 30 minutes from Avocado Grove and offers guests the opportunity to see the "Big Five" (rhino, elephant, buffalo, lion and leopard) plus huge variety of other wildlife and birdlife.

You can either do a self-drive safari in Kruger Park or go with a guide in an open safari vehicle on either a half, full day safari or even a night safari.
We would recommend that you start off going with a guide, who is experienced in spotting game, and once you've got your used to what to look for you can go and go back to Kruger in your own vehicle. Kruger is the size of Israel so there is always more to explore and see!

The Panorama route
The Panoramic route includes stunning scenery such as God’s Window and the world’s third largest canyon, the Blyde River Canyon, which has a number of beautiful waterfalls, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondawels.

The area offers something for everyone with bungee jumping, white water rafting, 4 x 4 trails for the adventurous, or walking, hot air ballooning for those seeking gentler pursuits.

Pilgrim’s Rest
Also nearby is the quaint town of Pilgrims Rest, a living museum dating back to the gold rush where you can pan for gold!

Lowveld National Botanical Gardens
The 159 hectare Lowveld National Botanical Gardens, with its rugged and rockery scenery, two rivers, cascades and pleasant restaurant, is located in nearby Nelspruit.

White River
The house is 5 minutes drive from White River town center where you will find 2 supermarkets, pharmacies, post office, banks and other essential shops, plus restaurants and bars. 8 minutes drive from the house is the charming Casterbridge Lifestyle Center a local gem where you’ll find stylish shops selling local handicrafts, a couple of galleries, restaurants and a bar, a vintage motor museum, the barnyard theatre and a small cinema.

There is also a shopping mall and a wide array of shops in nearby Nelspruit.

Eating out
For those who don’t want to use the well-equipped kitchen, there are ample restaurants in the local area to satisfy all tastes – from family restaurants such pizza/pasta, steak houses, Portuguese chicken and fish & chips to stylish gourmet restaurants.
