Luxury Chalet:
Our Luxury Unit is a 4-6 sleeper chalet. The main bedroom consists of one double bed and private toilette.
Second room consist of 4 single beds.
The chalet have a spacious bathroom with shower and a bath. It has a fully equipped open plan kitchen and lounge with DSTV, Private lapa and braai area.

Bush Cottage:
For the more adventurous, back to nature couple, our bush cottage provides the ultimate getaway for the nature lover, situated 3 kilometers (just less than 2 miles) from the main camp.

You can enjoy the peace and quiet of the Bushveld as it was meant to be.
The bush camp has a look-out tower for you to enjoy the magnificent African sunrise or sunsets. The look-out tower is also a perfect place to do some bird spotting and game viewing.

The bush cottage comfortably sleeps 2 adults and is equipped with its own fully equipped kitchen with cutlery, crockery, 220l fridge/freezer as well as a gas stove/oven.

So your cooking can be done either outside on the open flames or inside the gas stove. The bathroom consists of a bath/shower, toilette and a basin.
There is tap water in the cottage, however in keeping with the "back to nature in the Bushveld" theme, there is no electricity at the bush cottage, it works with solar energy that provide lights for inside as well as for outside.

In order that have warm water you need to make use of an old traditional manner, with fire in what is known as a “Donkey Geyser”. The geyser takes approx. 20 minutes for the water to heat up. All bed linen and towels are provided.

The Rustic chalet is an 8 sleeper cottage that has 4 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have double beds while the other two bedrooms each have ¾ beds.
The chalet has its own private enclosed boma with a lapa and braai facilities.
This accommodation is a firm favorite among our guests as it is very affordable and allows for an intimate and peaceful memorable getaway.
The chalet has a large fully equipped kitchen, its own bathroom that consists of a shower, toilette and a hand basin. All bed linen is provided (Must bring your own towels).

Water Edge Chalets:
Sunset Ranch has 4 water edge chalets namely: Eland, Gemsbok, Rooibok and Bosbok, each sleeping 2-4 people.

The unit has one double bed and one sleeper couch which is ideally for kids.
Each chalet has its own fully equipped kitchen, as well as its own bathroom that consists of a shower, toilette and a basin.
The chalets are on the Sunset Ranch dam edge and are ideal for that intimate family getaway, where you can commune with nature while spending time with those close to you.
These are also great for that fishing getaway as the water's edge is close enough to hear the fish's call, "come catch me".
Each chalet has its own braai (barbeque) facility.
The chalet is also equipped with DSTV.
The chalets are close enough to the main entertainment lapa, restaurant and bar where you can enjoy a game of pool, have a cold drink or a delicious meal.
All bed linen is provided (Must bring your own towels)

Camping and Caravanning:
Sunset Ranch's camping facilities are ideal for caravans and tents. There are 16 electrified sites and numerous camping areas without electricity. Campers and caravaners share a large, clean ablution block with separate mens and ladies sections. There are sufficient toilets, showers, baths, basins and mirrors. There is also a central area with sinks to wash your dishes, as well as a washing machine for those who never want to leave.

Luxury Complex:
The Luxury Complex is comprised of three joined, yet separate chalets which can accommodate up to18 guests (6 in each chalet).
Each chalet has three bedrooms sleeping 2 adults each and its own bathroom. The 3 luxury chalets share a massive fully equipped kitchen including stove, fridge, freezer, crockery, cutlery, glasses, microwave, pots and pans, as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
Each unit is fully equipped with bed linen (Must bring your own towels).
DSTV is also available in each chalet A Private pub area is available for the use of guests staying in our luxury complex.
An exclusive braai (barbeque) area, enclosed by a beautiful water feature is there for your enjoyment, whether it be braaing meat, cooking traditional potjiekos or enjoying a bonfire with friends and family. Catering services are available on request. This accommodation is perfect for those large family getaways.

Information about the lodge:
South Africa is known for it's warm hospitality, wide open spaces, wildlife and natural beauty. Add all these qualities to a setting of comfortable thatched chalets, tranquil surroundings and you have Sunset Game Ranch.
Just a scenic 90 minute drive from Gauteng in the malaria free Limpopo province. Sunset Ranch also has it's own landing strip, for those who want to fly over and drop in.
The ranch spans over 600 Hectares and is situated in the heart of the bushveld.

Directions by Road.
Use the following directions to get to Sunset Ranch:
To get to Sunset Ranch from Gauteng follow the N1 north Highway to Pietersburg (Polokwane) and take the Warmbaths (Bela-Bela) turnoff. Turn left and drive to Warmbaths, now called Bela-Bela.
Go through the centre of Bela-Bela (Warmbaths) along Chris Hani drive, past the Aventura resort, until the traffic circle and turn left. This is New Rooiberg road - the R516 going to Rooiberg/Thabazimbi. Go past Mabula and Mabalingwe resorts.
Follow the R516 for 58,2 kilometres and turn left towards Assen. Follow the dirt road for 5,3 kilometres and turn left at the Sunset Ranch sign. Follow the road for 3,2 kilometres until you get to the Sunset Ranch main gate where peace and relaxation begins.
