The St Helena Bay Hotel is situated on the South African West Coast just more than an hour away from Cape Town.
Built more than half a century ago, it was originally called the “Steenberg’s Cove Hotel”.

Thanks to the surroundings, it was used as a location to film the TV series “Soutmansland”.
With a charming character all of its own, it offers a variety of services but in a relaxed setting and atmosphere.

St Helena bay, of course, is well known for the Vasco da Gama monument.
The Vasco da Gama “statue” is proof that he was here in St Helena Bay, in the 14th Century and they got some fresh water and food etc.

Directions to St Helena Bay Hotel
Follow the N7 towards Malmesbury, turn left towards Melkbosstrand, and then turn right onto the R27.
Continue past Yzerfontein, Langebaan and Saldanha, and then turn left at the Vredenburg turn-off.
Continue for approximately 11 km to town and at the first set of traffic lights, turn right towards Velddrif.
Take the St Helena Bay turn-off and we are located 10 km further along, on the left-hand side.
