This 6 bedroom and one family room guest house is managed by Armin and his team. Tourists and business people alike choose Somer Place for its serenity and simple pleasures of life. The large luscious garden and pool are enjoyed by all, while your hosts cater to your needs; such as airport transfers, day trips, car rental, Wine tour, restaurant bookings, golf tee times and more.
The Somer Place team can serve you in English, Afrikaans and German.

All our guest rooms are en-suite, opening out onto either the pool area or their own private garden and all have a television, a telephone and coffee/tea making facilities.
Dinners can be arranged and, in season, regular grills are enjoyed by everyone.
Allow us to help arrange your day trips or reserve dinner at one of the excellent restaurants close by - when you have seen it all - enjoy a day around the pool with a glass of wine or something cool to drink.
A cooked or continental breakfast is included in the affordable rate.

Things to do:
- The beautiful wine farm Vergelegen is only 5 min. drive from Somer Place
- Monkey Town, is only 5 min. from here.
- Close to Somer Place you have 5 Golf Clubs only 10 - 30 min. drive
- Hermanus is built along the shores of Walker Bay near the Southern most tip of Africa.
- The University Town, Stellenbosch is only 20 km (15 min.) drive.
- Sir Lowry's Pass, about 10 min. drive is the best place to have a bird's eye view over False Bay and Somerset West, and if the weather permits, you also see the lovely view to Cape Town.
- Paarl and Franschhoeck, situated on the Wine Route are approximately 80 - 100 km from Somer Place.

- Cape Town, the "Mother City" is only 40 km from here, about 30 min. drive.

When visiting Cape Town, be sure not to miss the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. The cableway up Table Mountain is also worth while.
From Signal Hill you have a wonderful view over the Peninsula, Table Mountain and even Robben Island, where Mandela was in prison for many years.
The "Two Ocean Aquarium" with animals from the Indian and Atlantic Ocean. Cape Town offers many possibilities for visitors interested in visiting the many museums.

Cape Point and the National Park is a must to visit and the scenic route along Chapman's Peak Drive.
Cape Agulhas, the most Southern tip of Africa is also a wonderful day trip.

Directions:
From the airport you go on the N2 in direction to Somerset West;
After ±20 minutes drive you turn off : "Exit 43 - Somerset West"
in direction Stellenbosch/Somerset West (R44):
First crossing (traffic lights) turn right in direction of Somerset West City (Main road);
Then second robot turn right ( Pintail Way )
Follow the signs: left, right, left and after ± 200m on the left-hand side Somer Place B&B.
