Kwamahla Lodge is situated in the North West Province at S 25 degrees 25.172' and E 27 degrees 31.566', past the scenic town of Brits and the Hartbeespoort Dam, between Beestekraal and Rustenburg.
A mere 1 hour's drive from Pretoria and 2 hours drive from Johannesburg International Airport and surroundings.

Its close proximity to the world renowned Sun City (30 minutes) and Pilanesberg National Park (40km) affords the guest the opportunity to experience the bush and wildlife at the Lodge whilst staying in comfortable accommodation in a malaria free area, or to slip away for a few hours and enjoy the entertainment and excitement at Sun City.

For golfing enthusiasts, five internationally and nationally preferred golf courses are within easy reach from the Lodge (Sun City, Rustenburg, and Brits). The Vaal kop and Rooikoppies dams, as well as the winding Crocodile River are in close proximity to the lodge.

Kwamahla Lodge Accommodation

Five thatched and fully equipped two bedrooms with two bathrooms chalets nestle amongst indigenous Acacia trees. The kitchenettes are fully equipped including fridge, microwave oven, etc.
Linen and towels are also provided. Every chalet has a private braai area, except chalet number 3. A swimming pool and a communal braai area at the pool will add to the enjoyment of your stay.

Kwamahla Lodge Facilities

There are conference facilities with overnight facilities for 30 people are available. For one day conferences 50 people can be accommodated. The fully air-conditioned conference venue is equipped with the most modern and sophisticated audio visual equipment (data projector, overhead projector) as well as fax and Internet facilities to enable the corporate sector to conduct hassle free meetings and conferences in a tranquil bushveld environment.

End of year functions for up to 50 people, weddings and receptions are catered for on the Lodge. Full bar facilities with DSTV for the exclusive use of guests and conference groups. Restaurant available for a minimum of 10 guests by prior arrangement.

A swimming pool and a communal braai area at the pool will add to the enjoyment of your stay. A rustic, secluded boma, built around a 120 year old leadwood tree, with bar and catering facilities.

Attractions / Activities At and nearby To Kwamahla Lodge

Game Viewing:
Bush drives are conducted by an experienced ranger. Seven mammal species roam freely on the Reserve. Enjoy the unforgettable experience of watching the game drink water at sunset at any of the three natural drinking holes while indulging in a sundowner drink of your choice.

Bird Watching:
Some 370 bird species such as the Crimson Breasted Shrike, the Lappet-Faced Vulture and White-Backed Vulture have been recorded in the area.

Hiking Trails:
Bush walks can be safely undertaken anywhere on the reserve. Look out for our small five on your hike: Rhino Beetle, Leopard Tortoise, Elephant Shrew, Buffalo Weaver and the Lion Ant.

Other Activities:
A lookout deck built in the koppie. Ideal for groups up to 20 people for a private function or just to sit and watch the sun set over the bushveld. Enjoy volley ball, pool volley ball and darts. Team building activities can be arranged like abseiling, paint ball, river rafting etc. There is also a jungle gym for the kids.

How To Get To Kwamahla Lodge

From Johannesburg / Pretoria
Take the N1 from OR Tambo International Airport towards Pretoria. Take N1 towards Pietersburg. Pass off-ramps for Rigel, Atterburry, Lynnwood, Stormvoël and Zambezi. Take the Rustenburg / Bakwena Road / N4 turn-off. Take the Brits off-ramp.
Turn to your right, go over the highway and through the town. Turn left at the second traffic light. Approximately 35 km, turn to the left onto the Rustenburg / Sun City / Beestekraal Road.

At the T-junction, turn left and proceed for 1.5 km. Turn right on the tar road to Rustenburg / Sun City for 5 km. The lodge entrance is on the left-hand side of the road with green sliding gates and a thatched roof.
The gate will be closed, so please slide it open and kindly close it again as we have game in the camp. Follow the road up to the guest entrance.
