Medindi’s central, upmarket location at the intersection of the Rondebosch, Rosebank and Mowbray southern suburbs in Cape Town makes it the ideal place from which to base your business trip or vacation. Our accommodation is near the University of Cape Town (only 3km away), and near the Cape Town airport (only a 10min drive). With easy access to all major freeways, we are also only a short drive away from Cape Town’s central business district as well as its industrial areas.
Medindi Manor Accommodation
We have a range of 15 luxury, superior and standard rooms. Our guesthouse rooms are well-equipped (including free wireless internet, satellite TV and mini-bars) and offer excellent value for money. Our luxury rooms are of grand proportions, and each has been lavishly decorated with unique, careful selections of furniture and art.
Guests who favour superior or standard rooms need not compromise on the serene elegance of the Medindi experience, as all our rooms are individually styled and offer a blend of traditional and modern comfort. Most of our rooms open directly onto our large, well-tended garden, or onto a wrap-around verandah on which guests can enjoy their breakfast or a relaxing drink at sunset.
Luxury Rooms
Our 2 luxury rooms offer the most spacious, luxurious and well-appointed
accommodation experience that Medindi Manor offers. Located upstairs in
the Manor House, both rooms have super-king-size beds, working fireplaces,
en suite Victorian baths (and separate shower), large flat-screen TVs,
full DSTV satellite bouquets, free wireless internet, and access to the
wrap-around balcony overlooking our beautiful gardens and salt-water pool.
The rooms are tastefully and lavishly decorated with period pieces, Persian
rugs, and carefully chosen art.
Superior Room
Our superior rooms are located in the Manor House, and in our adjoining
garden suites. The rooms embody Medindi's decorative theme of tasteful
elegance, and are all equipped with super-king-size or extra-length queen-size
beds, en suite bathrooms, free satellite TV and free wireless internet.
A short walk along the garden path from our garden suites brings you to
the Manor House where breakfast is served in the formal dining room. Some
of our superior rooms can be converted into twin beds or triples, if required.
Standard Room
Our standard rooms are located in our adjoining garden suites. All these
rooms have double or twin beds, en suite bathrooms (shower or bath), free
satellite TV and free wireless internet. Though smaller than our luxury
and superior rooms, our standard rooms provide a much higher standard
of comfort and luxury than similarly priced rooms in other boutique hotels.
Self Catering Cottages
Medindi Cottage has a super-kingsize bed, a fully equipped kitchen, en
suite bathroom (with shower/bath), a full DSTV satellite service, and
air-conditioning. It also has its own private entrance (with off-street
parking) and a secluded courtyard. Large in size, the room can be converted
to a triple or even a quadruple if required.
We recommend the Medindi Cottage to long-staying guests who want more
privacy and who may wish to prepare their own meals, or to families accompanied
by young children who do not want to sleep separately from their parents,
or to anyone looking for a bit of extra space and comfort.
Madiba Cottage is smaller than Medindi Cottage, and has an extra-length
queen-size bed, en suite bathroom and a kitchenette which is set up for
the preparation of light meals.
For those looking for a hotel experience with bed and breakfast, we offer an extravagant continental buffet and scrumptious full English breakfast. Our breakfast is made with top-quality, fresh ingredients and is served by our team of friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast is served every morning in Medindi's beautiful dining room, complete with a Victorian fireplace to warm up even the coldest winter morning.
