In the quiet seaside village of Seaview, a short distance from Port Elizabeth and right next to the sea without even a road to cross, lies Sea Notes.
Sea Notes offers a variety of self catering accommodation in one private cottage and two self-contained apartments.
Not far away from the village are 2 game parks, nature reserves and the attractions of the Port Elizabeth metropolis.
Sea Notes is close to three restaurants, a Kwik spar, a bottle store, a pharmacy and a laundry, all within the village.

Seaweed Cottage
Standing on its own in the garden with its own private entrance and its own garage is Seaweed self catering cottage.

It comprises a pleasant and airy, tiled, open plan living, dining and kitchen area and two en suite bedrooms with their own sea views.
The one bedroom has twin antique single beds and its bathroom a bath, separate shower, toilet and hand basin.

The main bedroom has a queen size bed and its bathroom a shower, toilet and hand basin. There is also a sleeper couch in the lounge area.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with a 4 plate stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, there is also a built in braai facilities in the garden for the exclusive use of Seaweed's cottage guests.


But the greatest delight of this cottage is the shady (south facing) verandah which runs the length of the cottage. It has uninterrupted views of the sea and is the perfect place to read a book, watch for the whales and dolphins or just to relax and watch the changing moods of the ocean.
Seaweed Cottage also has TV (DSTV optional extra) as well as its own alarm system, linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels.

Pebbles studio apartment
Pebbles is a fully equipped self catering apartment for one or two persons with its own private entrance. It does not enjoy a direct sea view but is only a few short steps from both the garden and a large wooden deck, both of which have magnificent views out over the sea.
There is 1 bedroom with a queen size bed and an en suite bathroom. This bathroom comes with a shower, a toilet and a hand basin.
Apart from the bathroom, the rest of the apartment is of open plan design but the bedroom can be curtained off for extra atmosphere.


Next to the bedroom is an open plan sitting room with a fully equipped kitchenette. The kitchenette has a 2 plate stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge and Pebbles also has TV with DSTV.
Linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels. There are indoor braai facilities available for our guests in the event of rainy weather. Internet facilities are available.

Oyster room
Oyster room is a compact apartment for between one and three persons with its own private entrance from the deck.
It has a large bedroom with a double bed and a full en suite bathroom with a bath, a shower, a toilet and a hand basin.
There is a sleeper couch in the sunroom for the extra person. Oyster room has a sunroom overlooking the sea. French sliding doors open from this room directly on to the spacious wooden deck on which guests can sit and watch the Indian Ocean, the sea birds, the whales (during their visiting season).


There are even otters who sport around the fresh water pools fed by the spring at the bottom of the garden. Oyster room has limited self catering facilities in a small kitchenette equipped with a microwave, a fridge, a kettle and a toaster as well as cutlery and crockery.
Linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels. There are indoor braai facilities available for our guests in the event of rainy weather. Internet facilities are available.

How To Get To Sea Notes

From Cape Town
From Cape Town / Garden Route, turn off N2 freeway at the "Seaview" off ramp and turn right. This off ramp is approximately 25 km from Port Elizabeth.
Follow the Seaview Road for 10 km, past the petrol station and Elephant Walk Restaurant at Cows Corner, then past the Lion Park.
When the road enters Seaview Village the road curves to the left. Opposite the Kwik spar, turn right into Elizabeth Road. "Sea Notes" is No 9 Elizabeth Road on the sea side.
From Gauteng / Grahamstown / East London
Keep on the N2 / Humansdorp motorway. Bypass Port Elizabeth. Turn off ramp to "Seaview" is approximately 25 km after Port Elizabeth.
Follow the Seaview Road for 10 km past the petrol station and Elephant Walk Restaurant at Cows Corner and then past the Lion Park.
When the road enters Seaview, it curves to the left. Opposite the Kwik spar, turn right into Elizabeth Road. "Sea Notes" is No 9 Elizabeth Road on sea side.
From Port Elizabeth Airport
Take the M9 (Heugh Road, Buffelsfontein Road, Seaview Road) for approximately 25 km. The road brings you straight out to Seaview.
Once in Seaview Village, turn left opposite the Kwik spar, in to Elizabeth Road. "Sea Notes" is No 9 Elizabeth Road, on the sea side.
