Morokolo Game Lodge Accommodation

We offer 8 luxury double suites with spacious full en-suite bathrooms boasting an oval stone bath, modern finishes and a private courtyard (some rooms have outside showers) under the African sky.
Two of these are family suites with upstairs mezzanine lofts offering two additional single beds in each. We therefore accommodate up to 16 adults and 8 children at a time.

Each suite has a bar fridge and coffee / tea facilities, is fully air-conditioned, has a private patio and double suites have a cosy fireplace included. The four suites are all linked to the main entertainment building by paved walkways.
We also have an undercover parking area for 8 guest vehicles and our 10-seater private open game drive vehicle. A professional Game Ranger and Hostess reside on-site and will be at your disposal during your stay.

Book for 2 nights and receive 15% off our normal rates of R2 100 per person sharing per night midweek, and R2 350 per person sharing per night Fridays and Saturdays. Full board, safaris and conservation levies are all included in the rates.

Our main entertainment building is open plan, fully air-conditioned and includes a private dining room for up to 12 guests with an inset interior braai facility; a fully equipped kitchen and scullery resplendent with MIELE appliances and a breakfast nook.

There is a lounge area with plasma screen, DSTV, DVD player and surround sound; and a classy bar area with pool table.
Our undercover patios include table and chairs for 8 guests, an open-air boma with braai, a refreshing pool sunken into a paved deck and an intimate Jacuzzi behind a screen lattice for relaxing sun downer cocktails.

Attractions / Activities At and Nearby To Morokolo Game Lodge

The Black Rhino Reserve forms part of the Greater Pilanesberg National Park measuring 57 000 hectares. Situated in the north western corner of the Pilanesberg National Park, The Black Rhino Reserve is just under 2 000 hectares in size and represents the first portion of private land incorporated into the Pilanesberg National Park.

Buffalo regularly roam in this area as they take shelter in remote areas not accessible to other visitor to Pilanesberg National Park.
Characterised by a beautiful forest of Tamboti trees and regular sightings of the bad tempered Black Rhino, the Black Rhino Reserve is home to the BIG 5 (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant, White & Black Rhino) as well as cheetah and wild dog. Antelope species include Sable, Tsetsebe, Eland, Gemsbok and Springbok.

With a species list of over 354, the Black Rhino Reserve is also a true "birders paradise".

How To Get To Morokolo Game Lodge

From Pretoria / Johannesburg:
Head towards Sun City on the R556 and pass by the entrance to Sun City on the right. Continue for 5.11 km to the T-junction and turn right onto the R565 (Swartruggens). Continue on this road for approximately 27 km through a small village (beware of potholes) until you arrive at the Black Rhino Game Reserve entrance on the right.

Sign in at the gate and either drive on directly to the lodge or request that we collect you from the gate if you do not want to drive your car on the dirt roads. A standard clearance sedan should be able to reach Morokolo Game Lodge (No 19 Black Rhino Reserve) without difficulty.
From the Black Rhino Game Reserve gate, drive for 2,9 km along the road until you meet an intersection, continue straight for 500m till you see our lodge on the right; No 19 Black Rhino Reserve.
