Polokwane as the capital city of Limpopo Province, has a host
of activities and places of interest to visit.
Polokwane Nature Reserve
This reserve has a wide variety of game, including rhino, giraffe, wildebeest
and gemsbok among others. There are self drive or guided tours and hiking
trails.
Bakone Malapa Traditional Sotho Museum
This museum houses and displays the culture of the northern Sotho group
that lived near Polokwane. The museum is built on the original ruins of
the settlement, making it a good archeological site. There are a variety
of cultural displays and performances on offer.
The Irish House Museum
This museum is situated at the corner of Thabo Mbeki and Market Streets
in a building that used to be the first clothing shop and later declared
a monument by the national Monument Council (NMC).
