Welcome to Goed moed Guest Farm!

Goedemoed Cottage and Farmhouse nestles in tranquil garden settings on a fruit and wine farm, situated at the foothills of the Langeberg mountain in the beautiful Keisie Valley. Our establishment offers a high standard self-catering or B&B accommodation just off the famous R62.

We produce several varieties of fruit for both the local and export markets. Plums for export, peaches and apricots for export and the local market, wine grapes. We send grapes to local wine co-ops in town, Montagu Winery and Uitvlucht Wines. We have 90 hectares of fruit and wine plantations.

Goedemoed Accommodation

The fruit season starts with apricots in mid November and December. Peaches follow shortly after in December, January and February. Plums are in season around mid November, the beginning of December and mid March. Grapes also fall in line fairly early each year, with the season starting in mid February until about the end of March.

Our Working Ducks
The working ducks eat the snails in the orchards. A tractor with trailer picks them up in the morning and drops them at the orchard for the day, usually where we are busy with irrigation. So they do have water for the day. At the end of day, the trailer picks them up again and takes them to their dam where they will rest and where we feed them.
