Thakadu Safaris Lodge is located 47km north of Lephalale (Ellisras) on the ‘malaria free’ Mokolo Route, only 40km south of the Botswana border and a 3 hour drive from Pretoria.

The lodge is set on the beautiful and tranquil banks of the Mogol River offering the perfect retreat for families, corporate conferences, nature lovers and for team building activities.
Vegetation is typical sweet Limpopo bushveld with a wide variety of trees including the Marula, Red Bush Willow, Leadwood, Knob thorn, Camel thorn and many more.

We offer 2 luxury en-suite thatched chalets both overlooking the river ad each with a private thatched deck area.
Both chalets have open boma braai area, fully equipped kitchen, daily cleaning services, linen and firewood are supplied.
The chalets can be booked on a self catering or catered basis. Breakfast and dinner will be served in the Main Lodge if the catered option is selected.

Chalet 1
Has 2 air conditioned en-suite bedrooms, each accommodating 2 guests. The chalet sleeps a maximum of 4 guests.

Chalet 2
Has 4 air conditioned and en-suite bedrooms. This double storey chalet has a loft for children and accommodates 10 guests (excluding the loft for the children).
The 2 ground floor bedrooms sleep 3 guests and the 2 first floor bedrooms sleep 2 guests each.

Main Lodge Area
Has a formal dining area, a bar, an air conditioned open plan lounge area with leather sofas, a fully equipped kitchen, walk-in fridge, freezer, pool table, pantry and a TV room upstairs with DStv.
A spacious wooden deck opens through enormous sliding doors of the Main Lodge and flows to the outdoor pool area.
A boma area set alongside the wooden deck provides all round seating to peacefully enjoy a braai and stargaze all night long.
