Chapmans Peak:
One of the most scenic ocean drives in the world, Chapmans Peak has recently been re-opened as a toll road, after being closed for a number of years due to dangerous rock falls. The spectacular drive cuts along the mountain edge affording breathtaking vistas across the sea towards Hout Bay and Noordhoek.
Hout Bay:
The town of Hout Bay is reached via the beautiful stretch of coastline from Camps Bay, known as Victoria Drive. Continue through the bustling village and up Chapmans Peak towards Noordhoek. With its quaint harbour and nature attractions, there is much to delight the visitor.
Kommetjie:
The Last Word Long Beach is situated in the fishing village of Kommetjie. A true retreat from the bustle of the City, Kommetjie is a perfect holiday spot, ideally situated close to the Cape Peninsula’s many attractions, but remote enough for days go by without seeing another soul.
False Bay:
False Bay offers safe swimming, warm waters, ideal body boarding, surfing and sea kayaking spots and is a great vantage point to view whales in season. The coastal road meanders past the towns of Muizenberg, St James, Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek and Simonstown.
Noordhoek:
A sleepy, rural residential area, Noordhoek is popular amongst the laid-back locals and those in search of some peace and tranquility. Wild and remote beaches and expansive wetlands make this area a nature lover’s dream.
Cape Point:
The Cape Peninsula culminates in a piece of land jutting out into the sea, dividing the Indian and the Atlantic Oceans. This piece of land is known as Cape Point and to get to the edge of Africa, one has to travel through the remote and picturesque Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.
