Luxury Rooms
These are tastefully furnished with King or Queen-size beds, wingback chairs, TV, mini bar, tea & coffee stations, air-conditioning.
Three of the rooms have balconies and three have cozy garden patios. They all command magnificent views of the dam from their en-suite Jacuzzi/spa baths.

Honey Moon Suites
Slightly larger than the luxury rooms, these suites are elegantly furnished with King size beds, lounge, T.V, mini bar, tea & coffee Stations, air-conditioning, balcony and Jacuzzi/spa bath, overlooking the water.
One of the rooms has the most amazing Lounge, which overlooks both the water and mountains. With a complimentary aromatherapy bath basket to enjoy in the Jacuzzi/spa bath, you are sure to feel loved, whether it’s your honeymoon or not.

Bali Suites
In the Bali house we offer 10 rooms, all tastefully decorated in that style. Two of the rooms have their own fireplaces (Great for winter snuggle ups).
All rooms have unrestricted views of the dam, are air-conditioned, have a central honesty bar, tea & coffee stations and en-suite bathrooms.

Like all good Italians, we believe that food is the language of love and we slave over our hot stoves every day of the week to bring you truly decadent dining.
Besides a hearty Italian-styled breakfast we offer a set three course menu in the romantic pool-side setting which is further enhanced with Belgium chocolate and Italian coffee.

For the ultra romantic we offer a private dining experience which is set aside from the main dining area with soft lighting and classical music (38 Proposals and counting).

For conference and private party groups don’t forget Paige’s Famous alfresco “Italian Table”.

Things to do:
Sail Away
All aboard for one of our daily 2 hour cruises on the Hartbeespoort Dam. There is something magical about drifting silently on the waters of the Hartbeespoort Dam, shadowed by the Ancient Magaliesburg Mountain Range. Visiting all the new and old development along our way. “La Jennifer” the finest on harties takes a max of 25 passengers comfortably.


A Picnic at the Dam
Guests can enjoy a special gourmet picnic on the shores of the dam as well as a host of water sports including water skiing, tubing or riding the dragon for the more adventurous. And, as the soft glow of sunset paints the sky a palette of soft rose and apricot, you can board the launch boat and enjoy sundowners and snacks as we cruise the Dam.


Boat Cruises
We offer a daily sunset cruise to all our guests, for the adventurous we tag along the ski-boat.


Para-Sailing
Wow what a view from up top there! Whilst on the boat we can arrange for guests to be picked up for the Para-sailing adventure or you can do it on your own time from Pecanwood Boat club. We will gladly assist with bookings.


Lesedi Cultural Village
On your way to us why not stop over at Lesedi Multicultural Village, with five traditional homesteads: Ndebele and their colorful homes; Xhosa living in their perfectly thatched rondawels with distinctive white blankets; opposed with Basotho and their colored blankets; the Pedi with their music of drums and whistles; and last but not lease, the Zulu’s with their fighting sticks and cozy beehive huts.
Lesedi is awaiting those who are willing to come and participate in an exciting adventure that reveals mystical cultures and traditions of African people.


Balloon Safaris with Bill Harrop
Join Bill Harrop for this unique, elegant, eccentric adventure in space and time, hovering at tree top level while you wave to local farmers below.
Your pilot will take you soaring high amongst the clouds whilst you quaff champagne and enjoy the “720 degree” wrap-around panorama view of the Magalies River Valley, it will leave you breathless. Bookings are essential and we will be more than happy to assist.


Horse and quad bike trails
Both of these activities are available at Hollybrooke, a tranquil working farm 15 mins drive from the guest House. Riding on a well trained SA Boereperd your trail will meander along the Magalies and Skeerpoort Rivers amidst picturesque scenery. Their Guided eco Quad bike trails are a must for the whole family.


The Elephant Sanctuary
Five mins away from the guest house you will find The Elephant Sanctuary, nestled in pristine unspoilt bush, this is the home of five African Elephants: Maroela, Mosadi, Khumba, Jabu & Thandi.
These Elephants are highly intelligent and delightful and you will soon discover a different character, personality and temperament within each of them. Daily programs offer the visitor an insight into their world by walking, feeding and riding them. Been so close to African Elephants will leave you spellbound. Glen Afric
A true “Out of Africa” experience awaits you this Game Park which is a famous set for many International Movie Productions.
Here you can enjoy the thrill of a daily game drive on an open safari vehicle with professional rangers to view the 32 species of African wildlife, including lion, cheetah, hippo, elephant, and buffalo plus over 100 bird species and a vulture restaurant, feeding 120 birds. You will need to book in advance.


Golf @ The Dam
You are spoilt for choice here, with world-class Pecanwood (18 hole), Magalies (18 hole) and Sandy Lane (9 hole) to choose from and two more golf courses on their way.


DeWildt Cheetah and wildlife Centre
Encounter a unique wildlife experience. From open vehicle you will see cheetah, wild dog, brown hyena, antelope, suni, nyala, blue duiker, various species of vulture and indigenous owls, right up close. Bookings essential.


Van Gaalen Kaasmakerij
Experience the fascinating process of cheese making, according to Old Dutch Traditions and recipes. The perfect country setting for Sunday lunch or a romantic picnic by the river.


Art Galleries
An artist’s haven has developed around the Dam, with so many galleries you will be kept busy for more than a day. Markets also offer a wide variety of African arts and crafts.


Fishing
Catch the big one or at least have the opportunity to boast about it. Early morning base fishing or laid back barbell and carp fishing, right from our waterfront. Also trout fishing in the area.


Kosmos Nature Trail
The perfect choice for those City dwellers, let Paige back you a picnic bag and enjoy a stroll along the foreshore returning along one of the many quaint lane that make Kosmos such a special place.

On your way home...
Why not return home via “The Cradle of Humankind” including Moropeng, Sterkfontein Caves and The Rhino and Lion Park. If you are going this way make a point of stopping at Goblins Cove (a magical Experience) for their out of this world Sunday Lunch.

Conference guests are accommodated in a total of 19 rooms in our luxury, honey moon, Bali suites and as a result of a great working relationship that we have formed with other guest houses in the Kosmos Village we now offer up to 35 rooms in our “Conferencing in Kosmos” initiative.
All venues are within walking distance from each other and all conferencing and banqueting events are done at La Dolce Vita. Menus are personalized and planned according to your needs and wants.
