Our 41 newly refurbished rooms offer the ultimate luxury of space, indulgent premium percale linen, oversize fluffy towels and other delights to make your stay a memorable one.
All our rooms have two queen beds, satellite TV, air-conditioning, a dresser and a writing desk and lockable cupboards.
Personal bathroom items are replenished daily. Thirty three of our rooms overlook the Gariep Dam, giving awesome sunset and sunrise views, ideal for a cocktail on your balcony.View our rates

De Stijls’ Special Services:
At de Stijl, every effort is made to make your stay memorable, so our special services include:
• Baby services - baby baths, cots, high chairs and nanny services.
• Disabled visitor facilities include two fully equipped rooms and access to the Mondrian Restaurant and reception area.
• Furry friends are welcome if they are smaller than knee high. A ‘pet set’ of water and feeding bowls and a sleeping basket is provided.
• Self-catering units are fully equipped to ‘do-it-yourself’.
• Honeymooners get the full treatment - please enquire when booking.
• Mini Bar, this can be stocked on request.
• Laundry service available.
• Transfers to and from Bloemfontein for shopping, airport and activities on request.

Here at De Stijl we are proudly Karoo. We use Karoo produce where possible - organic, fresh and local is what we believe in. This belief is what makes our food unique and as tasty and as special as it is.
Our chefs are passionate about the area and are always on the look out for new ideas and ingredients, so relax, join us on a journey through the Karoo and the best it has to offer.

We are also proud to announce that we have started vegetable gardens nearby to provide the hotel with fresh seasonal produce and flowers, without the air and road miles, delivered fresh each day!
Our Mondrian Restaurant can seat up to 100 guests and is open to guests and day visitors for all meals.
The Mondrian Restaurant at de Stijl is open at the following times;
Breakfast – 07:00 – 10:00 Lunch – 12:00 – 15:00 Dinner – 18:30 – 22:00

We also offer special dietary requirements for Vegetarian, Vegans, Halaal, Kosher and diabetics (by prior arrangement).
To accompany your meal we have a full bar and a young but vibrant award winning wine cellar, brimming with excellent South African Wine.
Children also have their own menu of sumptuous yet ‘mom approved’ meals. Our room service menu is available daily, please enquire at reception.

Adventure at de Stijl Gariep Hotel:
Located on the shores of the largest inland water mass in South Africa makes de Stijl a great spot for both water sports and adventure.
The greater Lake Gariep region has an abundance of culture and recent history relating to the Great Trek and Anglo Boer War.
There are several significant sites in the area including Colesberg, Bethulie and Norval’s Point. Downstream from Lake Gariep, the perennial Orange River offers the adventurer and sport fanatic a host of adventure tourism activities.
