Arpa Adventure Farm is situated about 6km from Fouriesburg on the Clarens road. Fouriesburg is a little town in the Eastern Freestate, situated in the Brandwater basin.
The Lesotho border post of Caledonspoort is about 8km from Fouriesburg.

Fouriesburg was established in 1892 and has the distinction of having been the Orange Freestate capital for a period during the Anglo Boer War (1899-1902).
The origin of the name Arpa, is lost in time.
According to local farmers, the homestead at Arpa was used as a meeting place for the local Boer community during the war.
The homestead is now a ruin, but some of the sandstone blocks it was built from, have Boer War carvings on them.

Directions to Arpa Adventure Farm
The farm is situated 5km from Fouriesburg on the road between Fouriesburg and Clarens.
From Johannesburg, take the N3 towards Durban.
Take the offramp to Frankfort at Villiers.
Turn L to Reitz just after passing Frankfort.
Drive past Reitz and into Bethlehem.
From Bethlehem:
Pass the Wimpy on the left
Turn R at the next 4-way stop (Eufees Drive)
Eeufees becomes Church Street
Continue to Kentucky Fried Chicken, then turn L into Commissioner Street
Continue past Fouriesburg on the R26
Turn L on the R711 to Clarens
After about 6km turn left on the S325 (dirt road)
The farm gate to Arpa in about 100m down the dirt road on the left.
Follow the path to the homestead and the outbuildings which you will seen on the left.
From Bloemfontein:
Take the N8 to Botshabelo
Continue past Ladybrand and Ficksburg towards Fouriesburg
Turn right on the R711 to Clarens
Follow instructions further as above from the asterisk.
