Highthorn is an old stone farmhouse. It is luxury, finished and completely self contained (revamped in year 2000). It very comfortably sleeps 11 people, in 5 bedrooms. There are 2 double beds and 7 single beds. The house is fully serviced, so you don't have to wash-up or clean during your holiday. It is situated 20 kms from Mooi River on the Giants Castle tar road, with only 3 kms being a dirt road between Giants Castle and Estcourt. There is plenty to do on Highthorn which is within 30 minutes drive of Giants Castle Nature Reserve, golf courses and several other amenities.Highthorn is situated in the foothills of the Central Drakensberg between Estcourt and Giants Castle. |

walks, own mountain bikes can be brought, Trout fishing( own rods), no
hunting, bird -watching, geology.

Horse riding 15 minutes away.
Directions to Highthorn
From the N3 take the Mooi River fly off and make your way into town.
Follow the signs to Giants Castle.
As you exit the town zero your odometer. After approx 20kms you will see
a pink " Yogi" Sip sign on your right. Turn right here onto
a dirt road. After about 1 km the road will fork, take the road to the
left. After about 1km look out for a sign on the left hand side that says
" Highthorn" Turn left into the driveway.
