African Dreams Bed & Breakfast is a family owned and managed establishment situated on the Quigney, one of the oldest and most historic suburbs of East London.
In 2009, we were selected as a finalist in the prestigious AA Accommodation Awards programme for excellent service.

With a unique African feel, our rooms are luxuriously appointed with all the modern conveniences, as well as en-suite bathrooms, private entrances and secure parking.
All our rooms are air-conditioned and have 24 hour access to wireless internet. Our swimming pool is nestled in a lush tropical garden setting with a stylish deck and a view of the sea. A delicious breakfast is served daily.

African Dreams is located close to the airport, and a shuttle service is available should your require it. We are also conveniently close to the CBD, doctors and hospitals, sports stadiums such as Buffalo Park Cricket Stadium, and a short walk to the Beach and the restaurants on the Esplanade.

All our Suites contain a microwave, kettle, bar fridge, DSTV, complimentary tea and coffee trays, air-conditioners, and a fully stocked Honesty Bar.
Each room has a private outside entrance, and access to the lounge, dining room and deck from the inside. Vibrant and exciting in black and white with a King sized bed that can be converted into two comfortable twin beds if necessary. En-suite bathroom with a bath and separate shower.

Feel like royalty in this hue of amazing amber. You will be able to gracefully slumber in a Queen sized bed. This room is also appointed with a double sleeper couch for those parents wishing to share with their children. This room also offers an en-suite bathroom with a bath and separate shower.

AFRICAN DREAMS B&B FACILITIES

With a favorable climate all year, East London is fast becoming an excellent choice for holiday makers and tourists. It is the only South African river port, set on the Buffalo River and is the 6th largest city in South Africa.
Day trips to various places of interest can be arranged, including:
- The Nelson Mandela Freedom Trail – a full day Excursion to the birthplace of Dr Nelson Mandela.
- Half Day Township Excursions, and other Cultural Experiences.
- Day Safaris to Game Reserves in the area like Inkwenkwezi Game Reserve.
- Adventure Activities: Quad Biking, Kayaking, Abseiling, Hiking, and Mountain Biking.

East London boasts a number of Golf Courses including East London Golf Club, which is renowned as one of the oldest and the best Championship Courses in South Africa.
Buffalo Park Cricket Stadium, ABSA Rugby Stadium, and Jan Smuts Athletics Grounds are located approximately 10 minutes from African Dreams.

HOW TO GET TO AFRICAN DREAMS B&B

From East London Airport:
Turn left onto the Settlers Way (R72), and follow the road signs to the city. This route will take you through Greenfields, and the Woodbrook Industrial area.
Continue across the Biko Bridge, which is over the Buffalo River. Follow Settlers Way around the traffic circle at Oxford Street and into Fleet Street.

At the four way intersection of Fleet Street and Fitzpatrick Street turn left into Fitzpatrick Street. On Fitzpatrick Street, the fourth street on your right is Tennyson Street. Continue down Tennyson Street and African Dreams B&B is on your right.

From Umtata and King Williams Town (N2):
Turn off the N2 onto the North East Expressway (R72), and follow the road signs to the City Centre. The North East Expressway becomes Valley Road at the Southerwood Primary School (on your right), which then becomes Fitzpatrick Street, the fifth street on your left is Tennyson Street. Continue down Tennyson Street and African Dreams B&B is on your right.

From Stutterheim (N6):
At the Traffic Circle turn right onto the R72 and continue along this road under the N2 and join up with the North East Expressway.
The North East Expressway becomes Valley Road at the Southernwood Primary School (on your right), which then becomes Fitzpatrick Street.
On Fitzpatrick Street, the fifth street on your left is Tennyson Street. Continue down Tennyson Street and African Dreams B&B is on your right.
