Clara Anna Fontein is the only private game reserve in the greater Cape Town Metropolitan area.
Today the reserve is home to more than 11 species of wild animals roaming the indigenous Renosterveld.

The Renosterveld is an endangered type of vegetation of which only 4% remains in the Western Cape.
Among the animals you will see are the following: Blue wildebeest, Zebra, Springbok, Ostrich, Bontebok, Eland and many more.
We have 18 luxury tents, all fully carpeted with en suite facilities, including shower, basin and toilet.

All tents are furnished with beds, side tables and lamps, linen, towels, bathroom amenities e.g. soap and shampoo etc.
The Main Tented Deck area consists of a kitchen, bar and dining area.
While outside a braai and fire place facility is perfect for the evening braais.

Country Cottages
We have two Country cottages with en-suite rooms and spectacular views over the dam and vineyards.
Both units have basic self-catering facilities but fully inclusive packages are also available.
All bedrooms equipped with TV’s and have a limited bouquet available.
A cosy fireplace in the lounge area makes it the perfect place to be in winter.

Family Cottages
We also have two Family cottages situated closer to the game camp gate, ideal for the nature lover with beautiful views from the veranda.
Most rooms are en-suite and have basic self-catering facilities but fully inclusive packages are also available.
TV in the lounge area has a limited bouquet available.
All cottages have of a living area and kitchen equipped with mini bar, kitchenware, such as a microwave oven, two-plate stove, kettle, coffee-plunger, basic pots and pans, cutlery an crockery.
We also supply salt and pepper, sunlight liquid, dishcloths, toilet paper, soap, mini shampoo and shower gel.

Luxury tented Camp
Only group bookings of minimum 10 adults sleeping over, unless guests form part of a conference or function group. no self catering is allowed at the tented camp.
The group will have the exclusive use of the tented camp.
Evening Braai and B&B is included.
