Our spacious rooms offer private access and have quality finishes throughout. Tastefully decorated, all rooms are serviced daily and can be booked on a bed only or bed and breakfast basis. Dinner service can be organised by booking in advance.
Each room has its own private balcony and offers splendid views of the
Vaal Dam, amazing sunsets and on a good night, our star rating is about
a billion!
Our large picturesque garden includes a paved braai area, a large 6 seater
splash pool and beautiful rose garden with seating to enjoy a good book.
Please note that we have a policy of no children under 12 years and no pets to ensure the comfort of our other guests during their stay.
Lavenderwood Bed and Breakfast Attractions
Deneysvilles' main attraction is the Vaal Dam, steeped in history as a stop over point for Short Solent flying boats in the late 1940's and it's 5km long island used for secret government meetings pre- 1994 era, the Vaal Dam is now famous for its world class sailing events like the annual "Round the Island" race. The race date is always the first weekend in February and each year promises to be even better than before. Deneysville holds the Guinness Book of Records for the most number of yachts in an inland race in 2007 and always hopes to improve this record. All year round the Dam provides excellent entertainment for all the family.
Another event which occurs more frequently than the race is the weekend "Breakfast Run" which attracts bikers and visitors to Deneysville due to its proximity to Johannesburg and the quality of the surrounding roads. There are several restaurants in town offering great menus at affordable prices. The addition of the Historic Motorcycle Museum which includes some of the most unique motorcycles found anywhere in the world is another excellent reason to visit.
Prolific birdlife, the nearby Croc Ranch, fishing opportunities and even a visit to the Vaal Dam wall offer interesting activities in the area. All details and contact numbers for activities can be found in the rooms for your convenience.
