Situated in the mountainous areas of Free State and a tribute to old fashioned country cottage solitude and peace, Timmerskraal is able to offer a choice of two cottages.
Nestling amongst trees at the foot of magnificent sandstone mountains with a variety of garden birds which make living in the cottage a truly special experience, the cottages are quite relaxing and with much tranquillity of enjoying the natures garden, comfortably cosy and welcoming.

Granny Flat Cottage
The Cottage has 2 rooms with separate entrance with an inter-leading bathroom. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed and the 2nd room has 2 three quarter beds.

Timmerskraal Cottage

A cozy lounge, dining room with TV a single bed can be added on request. There is a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave, two plate stove, oven and fridge. Two open parking bays outside with your own entrance to the cottage and a private outside braai area overlooking the beautiful landscaped garden. Smoking in the cottage is prohibited.

Thatched Roof Cottage
Has 3 bedrooms, one with queen sized bed, one with a King sized bed the other with two three quarter beds with a shared bathroom. There is a lounge and a dining room with TV and antique anthracite fire place, in winter. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove microwave fridge , freezer etc.
Self-help continental breakfasts available on request. The private braai area is situated under trees in the beautiful garden, there is no covered parking but secure parking in the yard. Smoking in the cottage is NOT allowed.

How To Get To Timmerskraal Cottage

In the village of Clarens, situated on the picturesque Free State Highlands Route, 17 kms from the Golden Gate National Park, 3 hours from Gauteng, Pretoria and Bloemfontein, 4 hours from Durban, a very special place awaits you.
If you approach from Bethlehem, take the Clarens turn off then turn right into the main entrance into Clarens, immediately right again and we are the third house on the left, just a little past the dam at the entrance.
