Situated in an older more established Clarens “suburb” known as the Swartland, Kalm is within easy walking distance of the village square, and also the surrounding hills for the more energetic.
Golden Gate Nature Reserve is right on our doorstep and is spectacular to drive through, to walk, or to hike. When planning your stay note that the village is approximately a three hour drive from Jhb and four hours from Durban.

At present we have 2 rooms available for bookings: “Somebody’s” and “Anybody’s”. These are available bed only, or with breakfast on a voucher basis.

Anybody’s is a rustic gold place with vibrant splashes of colour. It has a queen size bed and a luxurious shower en suite.
Somebody’s comprises bold colourful designs on a black / white / mink canvas with double bed and luxurious shower en suite.

The rooms lead out onto a glass-enclosed verandah with comfy couches which in turn open out to an umbrella’ed courtyard for the sunny moments!
The greater picture – by the end of the year we bring on line a third room “Theirs”, with a queen size bed and luxurious shower en suite. It has its own private verandah with a “Hot Art” fireplace for our sub-zero winters.

How To Get To Kalm: A Colourful Place To Stay

From Bethlehem, merge onto the N5 / R26 and continue to follow the N5 for 6.9 km. Turn right onto the R712 towards Clarens. After 27.3 km, turn right onto Naauwpoort Street and then turn right onto Swart Street. After 88 m you will find Kalm.
