The Matroosberg Reserve is situated on the farm Erfdeel, 35 km from Ceres. The reserve covers more than 1000 Ha of mountain area, and reaches the Matroosberg Peak, which at the altitude of 2249m, is the highest in the Boland, about 250m higher than Sneeuberg in the Cedarberg. During the winter months, Matroosberg is often covered with snow. Abseiling/Rappel is done on a variety of slopes, from an easy beginners
slope to a long overhang. |

Self-catering House
The self-catering Goatherd's House was built about 100 years ago, equipped
to sleep six people in three double beds, bedding, towels, crockery and
cutlery supplied. Hot shower, fridge, hotplate, big fireplace, indoor
braai and there is no electricity.

Self-catering rooms with outside braai area, bunk beds sleeps four people.
Self-catering Ski Hut
This open plan mountain hut can sleep 20.
It is situated right at the foot of the mountain with stunning mountain
