Amanzi lodge is a private retreat in Amanzi Private Game Reserve. The Lodge is uniquely situated in central South-Africa, 40min drive from the Free State Capital, Bloemfontein. At Amanzi you will experience a magical safari retreat where the wild run free. The Lodge and chalets as well as the caravan park is designed to blend in with the magnificent bushveld surroundings and ambience. Chalets:
The Chalets are spacious, luxuriously furnished and fully self catering,
perched on a hill overlooking the beautiful bush field surroundings of
this amazing part of South Africa. Each of the 2 bedrooms on the lower
level has a queen size bed with an en-suite bathroom and a separate guest
toilet. Wooden stairs lead to the upper level with 4 single beds in the
loft.
Each chalet provides its own braai area with stunning views.
Dormitory:
The dormitory consists of neat separate rooms and luxurious communal bathrooms.
120 beds are available in the dormitories. These rooms are not self catering.
Caravan Park:
Our unique caravan park in the bush consists of 18 well equipped stands
with running water, braai and electricity. The ablution block are luxurious
and also cater for paraplegics. A large swimming pool and lapa are available
for the guests to enjoy.
Paraplegic Chalets:
The Sunshine Dens 1 & 2 is equipped for paraplegics. Each of them
accommodates 2-3 guests.
Conference and Weddings
Events:
At Amanzi we host numerous successful events at our four different venues.
We cater for small groups from 15 to large groups of up to 300 guests.
The 2 largest venues also consist of areas used as chapels for weddings.
Conference facilities are available.
The Berglapa is a beautiful venue for intimate events hosting 50 guests. At the bush Boma we host unique events under the African sky with delicious meals, bushfire and soft music.
Meals:
Although the chalets and caravan park are self catering our dedicated
team can provide our guests with delicious meals that can be delivered
at the chalets or served at one of our beautiful venues.Our qualified
chef will assist you in menu planning for any events booked at Amanzi.
At the reception building(under construction) a boutique grocery shop and curios shop will be available for the convenience of our guests.
Adventures
Whether you stay in one of luxurious chalets or camp in the caravan park,
the amazing beautiful dense bush area, diverse animal and bird life, the
magic of camp fire and stunning sunsets will amaze you:
· On Amanzi there are different walking trails of which some
must be assisted by a professional hunter.
· The Game Drives are very rewarding as we offer over 30 species
including: Lions, Cape buffalo, Kudu, Lechwe, Eland, Sable, Giraffe, Zebra
and many more. This drives can be booked and vary from 1½ hour
to 3 hour drives including snacks.
· Two beautiful clear swimming pools can be enjoyed as well as
playing volleyball on the lawns.
· Archery is an exciting event that can be booked whether it’s
your first time or whether you are experienced in this art.
· Mountain Bike riding trails follow the same routes as the game
drives in the reserve and offer unique game watching.
· Horse riding can be booked and this exciting event needs no introduction.
The rides vary from 1½ hour - 2½ hour rides.
