Located in the Northern Drakensberg, Jabulani offers you the ideal location to relax and unwind in a magnificent setting situated within easy striking distance from Johannesburg (3 1/2 hours) and Durban (2 1/2 hours). The camp caters for all tastes and appeals to young and old alike, for family holidays or weekend getaways.

Jabulani means 'happy' - with its abundance of flora and fauna in the surrounding indigenous forest, combined with the spectacular Drakensberg scenery, the Jabulani bush camp is a sanctuary for any nature lover. There is surely no finer way to relax than around a crackling fire beneath a star spangled sky.

Accommodation at Jabulani Bush Camp

The bush camp features a combination of both thatched Tented A-frame Units and equipped thatched Self-Catering Units, hidden amongst the vegetation for that extra bit of privacy. All units are en-suite and have their own braai facilities outside. Please keep in mind that by choice there is no electricity in the camp. We make use of gas geysers, stoves & fridges and solar power for light in the rooms.

Thatched Tented A-frame Units, en-suite
There are six 2-sleeper units and five family units available. The family units consist of a downstairs room with two single beds, and a loft with two smaller beds for children under 12 years of age.

Two single beds per unit and 2 smaller kid's beds on a wooden loft in some units.

You need to bring your own crockery & cutlery, glasses, pots, pans etc. when making use of the communal kitchen (Self Catering). There are 2 fridges, 1 large deep freeze, 4 gas stoves, an oven, washing up area, tables and chairs available in the communal kitchen and dining area. This area also has it's own boma with communal braai and fire pit.

There are 2 self-catering units available. These units have their own small equipped kitchenette. Own boma with fire pit.

Two single beds per unit.

Luxury Unit, en-suite
One unit available. This spacious unit has an open plan equipped kitchenette and sit area. Own boma with braai area.

Queen size bed as well as a double sleeper couch (suitable for kids only!)

Deluxe Sandstone Unit, en-suite
One unit available. This very spacious unit has a fully equipped kitchenette, open fire place, verandah with lounge area. Own boma with braai area and fire pit.

Queen size bed and separate bedroom with 2 single beds.

Activites at and around Jabulani Bush Camp

The camp grounds cover a sprawling area which includes berg streams, a dam, along with large areas of indigenous forest. What makes this farm so unique is that it has a “bushveld” feel to it while being in the berg! The farm comprises mostly of open, rolling plains area/savannah with meandering rivers and deep ravines and gorges. The western part of the property comprises of plateau and steep sided cliffs. Throughout the farm there are various species of wild game and bird life is spectacular. More than 300 species have been recorded, like Fish Eagle, Yellow billed Kite, Secretary Bird and even Red Data species. Species of game include: Zebra, Impala, Blesbok, Bushbuck, Duiker, Caracal, Serval, Jackal, Baboon, Porcupine, Mountain Reedbuck, Rhebuck.

We are a 15 minute drive away from Royal Natal National Park (World Heritage Site where you will find the Tugela Falls & Amphitheatre - truly a hiker's paradise!).

Directions
Take the R74 road to the base of Oliviershoek Pass. Here you will see the turn off to Northern Drakensberg Resorts. Follow the signage to Jabulani Bush Camp.
