Drakensberg Mountain Retreat - Zonderntwyfel Barnhouse

This is a cosy haven for those who like old fashioned holidays, with peace and quiet, excellent home-style cooking, reading near the fireplace, playing board games and pleasant company; as well as a wonderful base to experience the mighty Drakensberg. An ideal retreat for individuals, families or groups either self catered or fully catered.

Zonderntwyfel Barnhouse Accommodation

The Barnhouse offers exclusive use accommodation for group bookings. It has 5 en-suite bedrooms, sleeping 12 people and 5 dormitory-type rooms that can accommodate up to 14 people. This allows a group of up to 26 people to be accommodated here. The dormitory rooms use 2 separate ablutions with showers, toilets and basins. If the group is larger than 26, then both the Barnhouse and the Lodge may be used.

The comfortable Barnhouse is generously proportioned and a wood-burning stove in the open plan kitchen / dining room and fireplaces in the lounges ensures cosy comfort on even the coldest days. These, together with the large verandah, flower-filled conservatories, the indoor pool and a large function room, - all with incredible views - ensure you will have a comfortable and enjoyable stay, regardless of the vagaries of the weather.

Self catering for the Barnhouse is only suitable for groups as there is only one kitchen. DB&B and B&B can be
booked by arrangement.

The TV and Pool table in the Lodge is for the exclusive use of the Lodge residents unless special arrangements are made with management for a paticular event.
