The Heron Guesthouse is situated in the heart of the most upmarket area of Durban, Berea / Morningside.
It is within walking distance of Woolworths (500m) and other grocery stores (100m).
It is 500m from the famous Greyville Race Track where South Africa's premier horse race, the Durban July is run every July.

We are also a stones throw away from the Royal Durban golf course and 4km away from the Durban Country Club golf course, one of the top 100 courses in the World and ranked no 4 in South Africa.

We are five minutes from Durban's most famous beach, North Beach where the AAA rated surf Contest, The Mr. Price Pro is held once a year.

The Heron Guesthouse boasts ten double luxurious air-conditioned rooms all equipped with DSTV and wireless internet access.
For your convenience twin beds can be arranged to suit single persons sharing. All the rooms' en-suite bathrooms feature designer hand basins, elegant frameless showers and some have a separate bath.
For our honeymooners, there are two suites equipped with Jacuzzi Spa Baths. The Heron boasts two sun-drenched swimming pools.

How To Get To The Heron Guesthouse

From Durban Airport
Take the M4 (North) in the direction of Durban, turn left at the Moore Road / Berea turnoff and go up Moore Road until the Cleaver Road intersection.
Turn right at the Cleaver Road intersection and go past the Durban Technikon, the roads name changes. Botanical gardens Road becomes Cowey Road.
Continue for 2km past the Durban Botanical gardens, go across the intersection of Sydenham Road and Cowey Road and continue for 500 metres.
Just before the Caltex garage, turn left and left again into Heron Avenue. We are half way up on the left hand side, No 25/27.
