Thaba Metsi is located on a small, private game reserve 10 km outside of Bela Bela, on the Eersbewoond Road in Limpopo Province.
It is quite safe to take a stroll through the farm, otherwise just relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings.
Night time is truly magical as you can sit around a bonfire and enjoy the brightness of the african stars above you.

This chalet has 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a lounge, well-equipped kitchen and its own private Jacuzzi on the veranda.

The chalet has 2 bedrooms, the main room has a double bed, and the 2nd room has 2 single beds with a separate bathroom, toilet and basin. Chalet Metsi overlooks the natural fountain, which overflows during the rainy season, hosting an abundance of water birds coming to nest and breed.
The kitchenette is well-equipped with crockery and cutlery. A small lounge and dining area provides the rest and a private Jacuzzi and braai is set on the veranda. Other facilities include tea / coffee facilities, dam views, safe, fan and smoking in the rooms is NOT allowed.

How To Get To Thaba Metsi Nature Reserve

Take the N1 north towards Polokwane and continue past the Carousel and the Montsole Traffic Control point. Take the second off-ramp after the Montsole Traffic Control Point , which is the Settlers / Warmbaths turn-off.
Turn towards Warmbaths and continue until the T-junction with the waterfront in front of you. Turn right, go over the railway bridge and at the first traffic light, turn right again. Continue on this road, it will lead you out of town towards Nylstroom / Modimolle.

After approximately 7 km, you will see an ATKV Klein Kariba sign on your left. Turn right onto the Eersbewoond Road, continue for 3 km, pass Marula Mountain Village and then look out for the next entrance to your right.
There are two boards at the entrance, one for Wimpie and Hettie de Jager, and one for Thaba Metsi. Continue over the railway line and be sure to watch out for approaching trains. Arrive at the white gates and blow your hooter for attention.

Travelling through the Kranskop Tollgate, take the N1 north towards Polokwane. Continue past the Carousel and the Montsole Traffic Control point. Continue until the Kranskop Toll Plaza, keep to your left and exit the freeway towards Modimolle. The toll fee is approximately R5.70.
Keep to your left, where the turn-off comes to an end. Turn left in the direction of Modimolle and continue for 3 km until you see the Eersebewoon turn-off to your left.

Turn left unto the Eersbewoond Road and continue for 14 km. The Thaba Metsi board is on your left. Continue over the railway line and be sure to watch out for approaching trains. Arrive at the white gates and blow your hooter for attention.
