Lodge Family Room
These spacious family rooms lead onto a west facing balcony which offers breathtaking sunsets over the Langeberg Mountain Range all within steps of the sparkling pool.
Your luxury lodge family room is elegantly decorated in an African theme and fitted with mini bar fridge, electronic safe, telephone, tea / coffee facilities, TV and DVD.
The two sleeper couches are ideal for children or teenagers. Cots are available for infants. The en-suite bathroom offers his and her vanities, bath and shower.

Deluxe Lodge Room

Valley View Bush Chalets

Your private viewing deck overlooks the lush valley overgrown with Milkwoods, Wild Olives, Cheesewoods and other indigenous vegetation and birdlife. The bush chalets are stylishly decorated and fitted with TV, telephone and tea / coffee facilities.

Waterhole View Bush Chalet
Enjoy the privacy and seclusion of these free standing luxury units with en suite bathroom. Your private viewing deck overlooks the main waterhole frequented by buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, and other wildlife.
The bush chalets are stylishly decorated and fitted with TV, telephone, tea / coffee facilities and other creature comforts.

Honeymoon Bush Chalet
Enjoy the privacy and seclusion of this free standing luxury unit with en suite bathroom. Your private viewing deck overlooks the main waterhole frequented by buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, and other wildlife.
The honeymoon chalet is luxuriously appointed with all the lavish necessities you require and fitted with TV, telephone, tea / coffee facilities and other creature comforts. Enjoy sundowners from your deck while listening to the sounds of the wild.

Garden Route Game Lodge Facilities

Dining at the Garden Route Game Lodge is a relaxed affair where guests get a chance to discuss the days game viewing and make new friends.
Dinner in our African Boma provides guests with a unique dining experience where a hearty menu of tasty traditional cuisine and chefs specialties are presented on open coals in African pots.
Our friendly and attentive waiters are on hand to explain the menu or advise you on our selection of fine South African wines. (Breakfast and dinner are included in your stay. Special children’s menus and meal times are available).

Alternatively the breathtaking Serengeti's Restaurant offers guests a more interactive dining experience where safari cuisine is prepared by our chef to your liking.
The expansive wooden decks overlooking the valleys below allow guests to relax and unwind to the sounds of the African night.

Garden Route Weddings
Nestled on the edge of a breathtaking valley, Serengeti’s and the adjoining Labola Chapel provides a unique and romantic African setting for you to celebrate your special occasion.
Architecturally designed to blend in with the surrounding landscape, our stylish new wedding venue has been carefully constructed using natural materials such as stone, thatch, wood and glass and brings together the elements of earth, fire and water with taste and style.

The venue is equipped to accommodate 120 guests but can seat up to 200 guests with a dance floor. The expansive wrap around wooden decks allow your guests to witness the sunset over the majestic Langeberg Mountains and the star studded African night sky while the Serengeti Bar and Lounge are for your exclusive use. The venue is totally climate controlled throughout the year with 3 fireplaces for those chilly winter evenings.

Couples have the option of making use of the Labola Chapel or may opt for an open air ceremony on the wooden deck overlooking the valley below.
Complimentary overnight accommodation in our honeymoon suite is included in the venue hire for the bridal couple to spend their wedding night.

Conference Facilities
The conference center at the Garden Route Game Lodge provides an ideal setting for your next conference, bush breakaway, team building or group incentive weekend.
Built from stone and thatch, the center blends in with the natural surrounds to complete this unique setting. This air-conditioned facility comes fully equipped with all the necessary AV equipment and can comfortably accommodate up to 60 delegates.

The nearby breakaway lapa overlooks a water hole and provides delegates with a chance to view some wildlife while enjoying a refreshments break. Apart from taking in the breathtaking scenery, tailor-made activities can be arranged to further enhance your bush experience.

ACTIVITIES:

Game Drives
Morning and evening game drives are led by experienced game rangers who share their knowledge of big game as well as the many other antelope species, birdlife and local African folklore.
Garden Route Game Lodge is currently home to giraffe, white rhino, lion, elephant, kudu, zebra, wildebeest, and many other species of game.

Cheetah Breeding Center
A visit to the recently established Cheetah Breeding Center will provide visitors with an insight into the plight of this endangered species.

Reptile Center
No stay at the Garden Route Game Lodge is complete without a tour of the Reptile center where our resident Herpetologist (snake man) will share his knowledge of snakes, crocodiles and other cold-blooded creatures. An absolute must for families.

Mountain Bike Trails
Mountain bike trails on the various farm roads in the area offer a challenge to the energetic.

Quad Bike Trails
Enjoy a guided adventure trail on a 4x4 quad bike in the Gouritz River Valley which winds through scenic mountain passes and valleys, over streams and finishes up in the Gouritz River bed.

How To Get To Garden Route Game Lodge

From Cape Town
Take the N2 highway out of Cape Town and head east for 348 km. Once you get to a small town called Albertinia the entrance to Garden Route Game Lodge will be 7km after this town.
From George
Take the N2 highway and head west for 85 km. Once you cross over the Gouritz River Bridge (Bungy Jumping) the entrance to Garden Route Game Lodge will be 12 km after the bridge.
