Bed and Breakfast Accommodation, Addo
Giraffe Lodge is a 5 star graded lodge with three suites, all available on either a self catering or bed and breakfast basis. There is a large shared lounge area, fully equipped kitchen, plunge pool and unique sunken fire pit to enjoy a braai/barbecue.

Giraffe Lodge - Tranquility Suite
The tranquility suite is the master honeymoon suite with a four poster bed, en suite bathroom with jacuzzi/spa bath and double outdoor shower overlooking the Addo Elephant National park and a decked balcony to enjoy the views

Giraffe Lodge - Serenity Suite
The serenity suite is also known as "the view with a room" and offers a queen sized bed and a double bed making it suitable for families or singles sharing. There is an en suite shower room (no bath), ample storage and a decked balcony providing wonderful views

Giraffe Lodge - Harmony Suite
The harmony suite is on the ground level of the lodge and offers a queen sized bed, en suite bathroom and outdoor shower. The balcony is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast whilst enjoying the views.

Getting to Addo Giraffe Lodge

From Port Elizabeth
Take N2 in direction of Grahamstown, proceed to N10 towards Cradock / Paterson. At town of Paterson, turn left onto the R342 towards Addo
Addo Afrique self catering log cabins will be visible on the left after 5km's. Airport transfers can be arranged with prior notice

Listen to the call of the fish eagle as you cruise on the Maggie May Houseboat on the scenic Sundays River situated in the Colchester section of the Addo Elephant National Park.
Cruise downstream to the river mouth and world famous coastal sand dunes.

Enjoy a climb to the top of the dunes or for the more adventurous slide back down on a sand board.
Capture the stunning panoramic views over the bay and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this lush corner of the Eastern Cape.

Shamwari Born Free Foundation
Born Free's Big Cat Rescue and Education Centre was built at Shamwari, in memory of Julie Ward, in 1999. The Centre is home to nine big cats rescued by Born Free, while the education facilities benefit both local people - including hundreds of school children, and holiday-makers.
Born Free's five lions and four leopards live in large natural habitat enclosures several acres in size, surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of wild Africa. Not quite 'the wild', but the nearest possible alternative.

Daniell Cheetah Breeding Reserve
Daniell Cheetah Breeding project was established in May 2001 and started with just three cats. It has since grown with breeding, purchase and swapping of animals.
The aim of this project is to play a part in the conservation of Cheetah's (Acinonyx jabatus), the re-establishment of pure gene lines, as well as educating people to the importance of conserving this amazing species.
Daniell allow visitors to spend time with tame cheetah or with prior booking, the opportunity to walk with the cheetah.

Schotia Private Game Reserve
Enjoy a four hour guided game drive in an open Land Rover with a short refreshments and toilet break at the halfway point.
After an amazing experience where you will view more animals than you thought possible, enjoy a delicious dinner which is prepared over an open fire. A short, spot lit night drive providing the possibility of more nocturnal animals completes your experience.

Quad Biking Adventures
Guided adventure trail from “Club-House to “Ocean Viewpoint” and back, approximately 2 hours with 20 minute stop at viewpoint. Quad Bikes, helmets, guide is included.

Dungbeetle Tours
Full day tours into Addo Elephant National Park, Half day tours into Addo Elephant National Park, Hiking over the famous Alexandria Dune Fields, Afternoon and evening safaris on private game reserves. Lion sightings almost guaranteed!

Addo Dungbeetle Breeding Station
A guided visit to The Addo Dung Beetle Breeding Station will teach you more about this unique beetle and we will gladly share our efforts to conserve one of the “ little African rarities” of our country.
