Knysna Manor House Accommodation

This Knysna accommodation consists of thirteen en-suite rooms that have all been lovingly furnished and equipped with modern amenities.
There are three different levels; the top floor - consisting of four en-suite rooms, the main floor - consisting of the lounge, dining room, reception and another four en-suite rooms, and the lower level, that has another five en-suite rooms.

Knysna Manor House has a choice of rooms, from single to family. Each one offering guests affordable and comfortable accommodation.

Each room has been personally equipped with additional blankets, heaters, fans and tea making facilities, thereby ensuring the comfort of our guests during their stay with us.

The modern en-suite bathrooms have a bath and / or shower and an array of complimentary toiletries. All tap water at Knysna Manor House is pre-filtered before entering the guesthouse.

SINGLE ROOM
Our only single room is perfect for the single traveller.

DOUBLE ROOM
Knysna Manor House has four double rooms, each with their own individual character. The romantic Princess room boasts a four-poster bed, whilst the others each have king size beds.

TWIN ROOM
We have five twin rooms, each equipped with a two single beds.

FAMILY ROOM
We have three comfortable family rooms, each consisting of both a king / queen size bed and a set of twins.

DOUBLE ROOM

Secure off-road parking is situated at the back of Knysna Manor House where guests have direct access from the parking area to the guesthouse.
The informal sun lounge of Knysna Manor House guest house is adjacent to the swimming pool, which is available for the relaxation of our guests.
A great place to cool off at the end of a long day touring Knysna and the Garden Route.

Our newly extended deck offers guests stunning views of the Knysna Lagoon and Knysna Heads. It is the ideal place to enjoy your breakfast or sip sundowners whilst watching the South African sun slowly slip behind the Knysna Lagoon.

Your hosts, Anthony and Brenda will go out of their way to make your stay at Knysna Manor Guesthouse as comfortable as possible.
Nothing is ever too much for them and Anthony’s vast knowledge of the area is a topic of great conversation amongst the guests.

The deck is the perfect place to admire amazing African sunsets and enjoy a well-earned sundowner before you prepare yourself for a night at one of the many international restaurants in Knysna.

Local craft and curio shops in Knysna are a mere two-minute walk from the guesthouse, as are the local pubs and restaurants. Knysna Waterfront boasts many exclusive shops and a variety of restaurants.

Free wi-fi access is available to all guests. All water at this Knysna accommodation is filtered.

DINING AT KNYSNA MANOR HOUSE GUESTHOUSE:
Breakfast is served daily in either the dining room or on our recently extended deck, which has become very popular amongst our guests, who enjoy a lazy breakfast as the Knysna Lagoon shimmers in the background.
Breakfast consists of a choice of fresh fruit and yoghurt, followed by your own selection of eggs, bacon, sausage, tomato and mushrooms.

A choice of fresh breads, cold meats, cheese, fruit juice and tea or coffee finishes off your meal. Knysna and the Garden Route cater for every individual taste and have a choice of many world-class restaurants for you to choose from.
Why not try tempting Oysters and seafood, Greek or Italian cuisine or indulge yourself with a famous South Africa steak?
Brenda has a wide range of menus from many of the local restaurants for you to make your selection from before embarking on a night on the town.

Knysna Oyster Festival:
Our Knysna accommodation / B&B is centrally located, and is within walking distance to all Oyster Festival activities. We thoroughly enjoyed having a home full of guests during the 2000 Oyster Festival, and look forward to 2010.
The festival’s two main sport events, the Knysna Forest Half Marathon and Knysna Cycle Tour, give participants the unique opportunity to run and cycle through the mysterious indigenous forests surrounding the town. The guest house / B&B has a secure area for all sports equipment.

Pink Loerie Mardi Gras:
Knysna Manor House is a centrally located accommodation provider (guesthouse / B&B) and is within walking distance to all Knysna festival events. 30 April - 3rd May.
The Pink Loerie Mardi Gras was an idea born in Knysna, to promote Knysna as a destination. The first Pink Loerie Mardi Gras, held in May 2001, was a huge success. Since them the Pink Loerie Mardi Gras has grown to be ever more popular with huge support from the gay and lesbian community.

Golf Tours:
Knysna Manor House, your choice for golfing accommodation on the Garden Route. Knysna and the Garden Route area is paradise for Golfers with Knysna being home to the Jack Nicklaus Simola Golf Estate, Pezula Golf Estate and Knysna Golf Course.
Further afield you will find the Ernie Els designed Oubaai, Course, Pinnacle Point, Goose Valley and of course Fancourt. Our centrally located Knysna guesthouse / B&B accommodation is perfect for golf tours, as we are within an hour and a half of the furthest course. Anthony will gladly assist you with bookings at any of these magnificent courses.

Eating out in Knysna:

This is perfect during the peak season, when walking is faster than driving. Knysna Manor House guest house has a wide selection of menus from many of Knysna’s world-class restaurants.
The choice is yours - from Italian and Greek to Knysna’s local delicacy – Knysna Oysters. The staff at the guesthouse will gladly make a booking at your restaurant of choice.

Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours:
Our Knysna guest house is about an hours drive from the Tsitsikamma forest, making it the ideal base to tour the picturesque Garden Route. The Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour is the first of its kind in Africa.

The tour takes place in the magnificent Tsitsikamma Forest with most of the platforms built around giant Outeniqua Yellowwoods up to 700 years old. Standing within the crown of these giants and looking down at the lush forest floor thirty metres below is an unforgettable experience.
Hold your breath as you slide from tree to tree through the forest, stopping at each new platform while your guides tell you a little more about the surrounding ecology. If you are fortunate you will spot a pair of Knysna Loerie's or the brilliant red plumage of the elusive Narina Trogon. Whatever happens, we’re quite sure you’ll want to do it all over again!

Bungee Jumping:
Experience every emotion whilst plunging 216 m off the worlds highest bungee jump. This centrally located Knysna B&B is the perfect base for thrill seekers. Knysna Manor House accommodation is situated on the Garden Route, Western Cape.

This is the ultimate thrill! This IS the highest commercially operated Bungy Jump in the world. We secure you in a full body harness and proceed to walk along a specially designed catwalk (216m long), which is suspended beneath the road surface, which will then lead you to the top of the arch - 216 meters above the Bloukrans River.
Here you will be given final instructions by highly experienced staff, a countdown and off you go! Bloukrans utilizes pendulum bungy technology ensuring you the smoothest, most comfortable bungy jump possible.

Mountain Biking:
For even more adventure, a mountain bike tour will test you to the extreme. If you love cycling and have always wanted to come to South Africa - we'll take you for a ride on the wild side!
All our tours depart from a little town in the heart of the Garden Route called Knysna (pronounced nize-na). This stunning town has been voted South Africa's "Favourite town of the Year" for two consecutive years and tourists from all over the globe visit Knysna and are always impressed with its beauty.

Getting There By Car:
DIRECTIONS TO KNYSNA MANOR HOUSE GUESTHOUSE:
From the Main Street (N2) in Knysna CBD If approaching from Plettenberg Bay, at the 5th set of traffic lights turn RIGHT into GRAY Street and FIRST LEFT into FICHAT Street.
Our Knysna B&B is on the left hand side. If approaching from Cape Town, at the second set of traffic Lights turn LEFT into GRAY Street, and FIRST LEFT into FICHAT Street. Our Knysna B&B is on the left hand side Route Planner.

Getting There By Aeroplane:
George Airport is located at the heart of the Western Cape’s Garden Route; a fashionable holiday destination and home to many of South Africa’s most affluent residents. George is 72 km from our bed and breakfast. Your route will take you through the Wilderness, a sight to behold.
Known as the ‘ten minute airport’, Port Elizabeth Airport is situated within five minutes drive from the central business district and the beach front and no more than ten minutes from other areas of importance in the city.
Port Elizabeth is 265 km from Knysna. Cape Town International is South Africa's second-largest airport, and a prime tourism gateway serving millions of visitors descending on the Mother City every year. Cape Town is 495 km from Knysna.
