Highfields Backpackers is one of the longest established backpacker accommodation establishments in Knysna. Situated in a beautiful, historical building overlooking the famous
Knysna Lagoon, Highfields Backpackers is a mere two minute walk
from the centre of town where holidaymakers can enjoy all the attractions
that Knysna has to offer. From the magnificent lagoon with its varied
watersports to cosmopolitan shopping, wonderful restaurants or appealing
nightlife, it is not too far to stagger home after a fun evening. |

If you prefer, you can hang out at the pool or around the cosy fireplace and enjoy a relaxing beer while you swap travel stories with local residents and visitors from all over the world.
We offer family rooms, double and twin rooms, as well as dormitories. Breakfasts and evening meals are also available on request. Outdoor activities can be arranged to suit your preference, level of fitness and sense of adventure.

Dormitory
The dormitory rooms are located downstairs in a very large and spacious
area. There are two rooms available, of which one is an eight-sleeper
and the other is a 10-sleeper.
Double Room 3
This room has a double bed and lovely views of the Knysna Heads.
Family Room 1
This room is large and comfortable with wonderful views of Knysna. The
room comprises a double bed and three single beds.
Family Room 2
This room has a double bed and a bunk bed.
Family Room 4
This is a lovely, large room with a double bed and a bunk bed.
Twin Room
This room comprises two single beds.
