Avocet Cottage is situated on a small lagoon beach on Thesen Island, one of the most desirable places to stay in Knysna. The cottage is within easy walking distance to a wonderful selection of shops and restaurants in Thesen Harbour Town – including the irresistible île de pain café and artisanal bakery. This light and breezy, two-bedroom cottage is fully self-catering, has two bathrooms and is perfect for a holiday with kids. Gorgeous open-plan living areas with French doors lead onto a wooden deck overlooking a small Thesen Island beach. Enjoy lazy days whilst the kids are playing on the lagoon beach.

The lounge area has a TV, DVD player and DStv, for which you need to bring your Smartcard unless prior arrangement is made for us to supply one. There is a wood fireplace for the colder winter evenings. The fully-equipped kitchen has a washing machine and beautiful views over the beach.
Thesen Island is an ideal getaway for families with 24-hour security access, safe walking and cycling paths, lagoon beach, kids’ playground, bird watching and squash and tennis courts.
