Every one at The Shore invite you to stay, dine or sup a glass
or two at The Shore, where the warmth of welcome matches the comfort
and style of our rooms, restaurant and bar. At the Shore we offer premier or standard doubles, twin or single rooms. All are en-suite and have been refurbished to a high standard. The premier rooms are larger, front facing and have baths as well as showers. We can also use these as family rooms when required as they have ample space for a fold down bed or cot which we are happy to supply. |
We also have a larger loft suite with two rooms sharing a bathroom - ideal for families or those looking for a little more space. With a reputation for a warm welcome, sparkling service, and good, well-presented food, taking breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper, or just a coffee and a cake, at The Shore, is a 'must-do' when in Kirkwall. Our friendly bistro-style dining room and informal lounge offer quality fare in relaxed and comfortable surroundings.
Our lounge provides a quiet comfortable haven, light bright and airy through the day and snug at night. With teas, coffee and cake and an all day food menu, it provides the ideal place to take a break or to unwind at the end of a busy day's work or touring.
The Bar provides a livelier pierside venue with traditional pub service in a contemporary setting, where local folk and visitors blend comfortably in the informal and welcoming atmosphere. The Bar hosts a good selection of local beers, and there's always a quality cask ale on the hand pump, premium sprits - including a fine cross section of Scotland's single malts - and a suprising range of classy cocktails. With complimentary newspapers, coverage of all the serious sporting fixtures and music at a level that allows easy chat, a drink at The Shore can turn into much more!
