From Kirkwall Tourist Information Centre go out on to Junction Road the
turn left on to Castle Street then turn right and continue along Broad
Street, past St. Magnus' Cathedral and along Victoria Street. Turn right
onto Union Street, then left onto Junction Road. Turn right (signposted
for Orphir) onto Wellington Street, flats 2 and 4 are first left.
By railway
Scotrail from all Scottish departures to either Thurso or Wick or
Aberdeen.
By aeroplane
British Airways (UK) either from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness,
Wick or Sumburgh (Shetland) to Kirkwall (Orkney).
By ferry
NorthLink Ferries from Aberdeen or Lerwick to Kirkwall. NorthLink Ferries
from Scrabster to Stromness.
Pentland Ferries from Gills Bay to St Margaret's Hope. John o' Groats
ferries from John o' Groats to Burwick (May - September).
