Welcome to Morrungulo Bay, a beach lodge development situated at Morrungulo located approximately 580 km's North of Maputo offering luxury self catering beach houses and chalets. Set amongst a huge grove of coconut trees it provides camping and chalet facilities - step straight onto a beautiful wide sandy clean beach. This has been voted as one of the best beaches in the Inhambane area. There are beautiful sea views, balmy evenings and romantic moon rises which are truly spectacular. The camp rests under swaying coconut palms on the shores of the tropical Indian Ocean. It has extensive green lawns throughout the camp, shady indigenous trees, fresh drinking water and good security.

Accommodation

Beachfront Chalet
There are 7 chalets of this kind in front of the beach and they are 4 sleeper. The chalet is equipped with deep freeze, 2 plate gas stove, crockery, cutlery, pots and each unit has a braai area. Blankets, sheets and mosquito nets are supplied but guests are advised to bring their own towels, toiletries and cleaning materials as these are not supplied. There is a kitchen/dining area, 1 hot and cold gas shower and separate toilet, 2 bedrooms each sleeping 2 people.
Chalets are self catering and not serviced, but domestics can be hired for cleaning and laundry. There is also the provision in the dining area to fold down the benches to accommodate another 2 guests. Should there be more than 4 people utilizing the chalet there is an additional charge and in this case guests must bring their own mattresses/nets/bedding for extra guests. Tents are not permitted on chalet grounds and any items broken, damaged or lost will be charged for.
Luxury Villa
This 4 sleeper self catering unit has 2 luxury bedrooms with en suite bath and outdoor shower. Located on the hill near the restaurant overlooking the sea, it has a kitchen and separate lounge / dining area and is equipped with a fridge, deep freeze, gas stove, crockery, cutlery for 6 people and pots. There is also a double sofa bed located in the dining area which can accommodate 2 extra people for an additional charge, blankets, sheets and mosquito nets are provided for 6 people but guests are advised to bring their own towels as well as toiletries, toilet rolls and cleaning materials, as these are not supplied. Domestic can be hired for laundry and cleaning.
Casita (not beachfront)
There are 7 double storey units situated on the rise behind the chalets. These have 2 bedrooms (1 double bedroom downstairs and 2 single beds upstairs), kitchen / dining area, 1 hot and cold gas shower, separate toilet and each unit has a braai area. The casita is equipped with deep freeze, 2 plate gas stove, crockery, cutlery, pots, blankets, sheets and mosquito nets are supplied but guests are advised to bring their own towels, toiletries and cleaning materials, as these are not supplied. Casitas are self catering and not serviced, but domestics can be hired for cleaning and laundry.
There is also the provision in the dining area to fold down the benches to accommodate another 2 guests. Barracas - (Lapa)
These are open thatched 4m x 4m concrete floored structures which come with a power point (5 amp), light and shelving. Most campers utilize these as a central living area and camp around the barraca. We also offer plain camping in demarcated lawned campsites for approximately 100 people under the shade of coconut and indigenous trees. Plug points are also available as an optional extra. Ablution blocks are fully tiled and equipped with gas hot water showers - Bring your own toilet paper as this is not supplied.
