Mango Beach Lodge Tofo Mozambique

Our Restaurant and Bar is located on the top of the dune, with a 180 degree view of the ocean, where you can indulge yourself in the calming effects of the sea, watch the whales play during May to October. The Bar and Restaurant is open daily with our restaurant serving a variety of cuisines for Breakfast, lunch and Dinner. There are amazing dinners consisting of a variety of locally caught and freshly produced products seafood: prawns, crayfish, barracuda, as well as home-made, and rolled pizza’s and pasta’s.

There is a large reef that runs in front of the lodge creating a natural rock pool that is awesome to relax in without having to brave the waves and of course perfectly safe for kids. Other water sports and activities such as SCUBA diving, snorkelling, quad biking, fishing charters are available close by and can be arranged as part of a package.

We have two types of accommodation to choose from:

En-Suite Cabana Accommodation – This cabana sleeps 4 people in an open plan room and is configured with 1 x King Bed and 2 x Single Beds. The en-suite bathroom consists of a toilet and a shower with hot running water which runs off gas. It has a small veranda which has two chairs and a table. At this stage we only have one Cabana available.

Shared Ablution Cabana Accommodation – This cabana sleeps 4 people in an open plan room and is configured with 1 x King Bed and 2 x Single Beds. Each of the Cabana’s have a veranda and two chairs and a table. This accommodation makes use of a shared ablution. Both the male and female bathrooms have 2 showers and have hot water which runs off gas.

Tofo is world famous for the various reefs nearby and the superb diving sites. See Giant Manta, Whale Sharks, sea turtles and a whole underwater wonder-world. There are 4 Scuba operators in the area and all very professional with friendly and enthusiastic dive masters and instructors. Snorkelling in the area is great. You can do a little bit off the rock reef at Mango Beach, but for serious snorkelers, an Ocean Safari with one of the scuba companies is a must!

Location
The town of Tofo is approx. 490kms North of Maputo on the EN1, 25kms from Inhambane. Mango Beach is located approximately 3.4kms from Tofo Town, along the main beach road towards Barra. Nestled in the coconut plantation right on the beach, with all accommodation tucked behind a dune.
