vibrant capital city – Catembe Gallery Hotel is an ideal place

Accommodation available at Catembe Gallery Hotel:
Our luxury en-suite rooms are individually decorated with private
balconies overlooking the Indian Ocean and islands. For those who prefer
a real home away from home, there are two penthouses that are also ideal
for small groups, families or long-term stays. Fully equipped and serviced
daily, both have a spacious lounge and entertainment area, large balcony
directly facing the ocean/Maputo skyline.
Penthouse A sleeps 6 and boasts a large Jacuzzi on a private,
sea-front the balcony;
Penthouse B even sleeps 8 and has a similar set up. Recently we have added
4 Bayview chalets. For artists and groups, we have 8 compact rooms available,
functional with shower, Aircon and TV but very small.

The Gallery Chalets: “The soul of a beach shack with the luxury
and comfort of home!”
Gallery Hotel has four contemporary designed chalets, each with uninterrupted
coastal and skyline views. Simple and functional design, yet universally
cozy and welcoming with relaxed rattan furnishings. Flatscreen tv and
dvd if you ever might need it.
Through the garden at the pool area, arriving at the chalet, there is
a private outside shower and a hammock at each chalet. Inside a sofa with
a view and sun loungers are out on your deck.
Our Bayview Chalets: A favourite to many! Enjoy the double ended Jacuzzi
for two and white linen king-sized bed and a sleeper coach. A desk is
added for play or work. Free wireless internet available.

Restaurant and bar
The Marisol Restaurant and Marisol Baía Tapas & Cocktail
Bar are popular venues for Maputo residents, particularly on weekends.
So enjoy a caiparinha by the pool, or try the famous Catembe drink (which
was first mixed at the Marisol one very hot summer day in 1958) and don´t
forget to celebrate sundowners at the Marisol Baía lounge on the
jetty with cocktails and tapas!
Marisol Restaurant
Since 1958, Marisol Restaurant has been famous for its legendary LM prawns;
today we are proud to continue this tradition. All seafood is bought locally
from the Catembe fishermen. Marisol Restaurant is closed on Mondays.
Marisol Baía Tapas & Cocktails
Located on the hotel´s own jetty, the new Marisol Baía Tapas
& Cocktail Bar offers amazing panoramic views of the beach, harbor,
bay, city, and islands. Marisol Baía is closed on Wednesdays.
Inspirational & leisure activities
Many guests like to relax by the pool or in the garden, but why
not take a leisurely walk along the beach to the mangroves and Praia dos
Amores? Or stroll down to the hotel´s jetty to select a book from
the exchange library to read in your personal hammock (hang mat) on your
room balcony.
The beach is clean and safe for swimming and the garden offers many quiet
spots to still the heart and mind. It is especially lovely to observe
the sunrise and moonrise above the Indian Ocean. Relaxing massages can
be arranged upon request. Individual and group aerobic classes are available
on demand on weekend mornings. For these and other activities, please
inquire at reception.
Local artists have placed their works of art in the restaurant and rooms
for you to discover. Also, visit our small in-house museum that commemorates
Samora Machel´s visits to the hotel during the anti-colonial liberation
struggle and first years of Independence.
