Our Story
Meaning of Goéland:

Inspired from Richard Bach’s well known novel, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, the Centre Goéland, meaning Seagull Center in French, is a unique Prince Edward Island Wellness and Event Center.

The book Jonathan Livingston Seagull by renowned author Richard Bach actually inspired the founders of the activities centre to name their structure “Le Centre Goéland” (or in English, “The Seagull Centre”). The book, published in 1970, stayed on the bestsellers list of that year for several weeks.

It tells the story of a seagull that wasn’t like the other ones; this one was always seeking to fly higher and faster than his friends since he found the life of seagulls to be quite boring. It recounts the escapades and discoveries of a seagull who dared to fly farther and higher than other seagulls. It is in the spirit of these adventures and discoveries that you are invited to spread your wings at the Centre Goéland in Cap-Egmont, Prince Edward Island. Join us so that you can again find professional and personal equilibrium.
