Welcome to Brairwood Inn! Gary & Debbie Inman have been residents of Prince Edward Island for over 55 years. As our guests, you may draw on our expertise to make your visit the perfect holiday! We offer something for everyone whether you are a single traveler, senior couple, or a family. Choose from our King Suites, Honeymoon Suites with Jacuzzi, Chalet style cottage, or simply a room in our Inn. We offer a peaceful retreat and hope all our visitors will enjoy our less developed surroundings, simple pleasures, and colorful sunsets…… We invite you to be our guests at your home away from home!

Briarwood is located on a secluded lane leading to the serene dock river in Western Prince Edward Island. We are located 5 minutes away from the town of Alberton where you can shop, dine, or visit the museum. We are also conveniently close to the Rodd Mill River Golf Course, Confederation Trail, and miles of red sand beaches, bring along your Kayak or Canoe for a day adventure touring the Cascumpec Bay and Mill River.

Briarwood Inn is an award winning heritage home built in 1911 from the profits of the Island Silver Fox breeding industry. Purchased by the Gary and Debbie in 1994 and moved to it’s present location, the Inn has been lovingly restored. It has earned the Inman’s an Architectural Preservation Award..

The Inn
The design of the Inn is a curious mixture of elements From Queen Ann Revival and late Victorian building styles. The Inn consists of 3 stories finished throughout with hardwood floors, doors, and trim. The impressive front entrance, stairwell, and landing are all paneled using Birds Eye Maple fitted from wooden pegs..

The Inn has large bright rooms with double beds, period furniture and expansive windows that provide a panoramic view of the Dock River.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the front facing deck. Browse through Debbie’s book collection, maybe do some reading in the parlour………Just make yourself at home….

Cottages
Briarwood Cottages, built in 1997 offer ideal accommodation for families. Our 6 cottages are “three star rated”, deluxe housekeeping units overlooking the water. Pick from our two-storey chalet style or one-storey apartment style design.
Each cottage has patio doors to a screened in deck, two bedrooms, full bath, complete kitchen, satellite TV, (DVD player available upon request).

Enjoy a feed of fresh lobster on a picnic table overlooking the water. We will supply a pot and utensils for you to feast!

The Lodge
Briarwood Lodge offers comfortable, modern accommodation just like home! Here we can offer a variety of room types so you can best select what you are looking for….

If you have a small family, you may require cooking space. We have quaint Kitchen Suites with queen bed and pull out sofa. Perhaps a spacious King Suite with Jacuzzi tub and king bed is what you are looking for!.

Our favourite rooms are the Honeymoon Suites. These are extra large with patio doors to front deck, cathedral ceiling, whirl pool tub, stand up shower, queen bed and complete kitchen. Ideal for honeymooners! Our adjoining Kitchen / King Suites are great for couples traveling together. A full kitchen, two bedrooms and two washrooms allow for plenty of room.

For those of you who are just passing through we do have comfortable standard double rooms available. All rooms hardwood floor throughout with in room phones, Satellite TV (DVD player available upon request.)

Newly constructed, Briarwood Banquet Room has cathedral ceilings, hardwood floor throughout with bright doors leading to a deck that allow the sun to shine throughout..
