Shipwreck Shores Chalet is located on a 100 acre farm north side on the peninsula of Point Prim. Overlooking the bay and ocean, the property offers a romantic getaway, a perfect honeymoon destination and a nature lover’s paradise.

Shipwreck Shores Chalet is on Route 209 {Point Prim Rd.} off Route 1 {TCH} on Shipwreck Shore Rd., Point Prim From Charlottetown follow the signs that say Wood Islands, the drive is approx. 30 min. on Route 1 East. Located 30 minutes from the ferry terminal.

History
'Twas on the shores of Selkirk Park in the year 1803, Scottish immigrants aboard the Polly landed to build their new settlement.
'Twas off these grand banks many merchant seamen met their fate (including the Gentleman, 1850 and the May Queen, 1902).
By the light of the Point Prim Lighthouse, today’s lobster fishermen still brave these very waters in their quest.

Upon issue of a grant from Lord Selkirk to Black Murdock Gillis these rich and bountiful acres have since been farmed by the Gillis family.

Shipwreck Shores Chalet is built to provide visitors with the opportunity to experience the pleasures of a traditional farming and fishing community.

May your stay bring you days of pleasure as you stroll the shores, enjoy the fresh water springs, seal and eagle watching as blue herons pass overhead to Govenor's Island. Enjoy an evening on the red sand bars and another spectacular island sunset.
