Our inn's rooms and suites all have different decor and are furnished in a warm home style atmosphere. Located in the heart of beautiful historic downtown Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, in a quiet residential area. The inn is only two blocks from the city centre of Charlottetown. Our inn is within easy walking distance to all downtown attractions in Charlottetown such as the Confederation Centre of the Arts, the downtown Charlottetown shops and restaurants, Victoria Park, and the Charlottetown waterfront. We are ideally situated to explore the town of Charlottetown on foot or drive a short distance to some of the most beautiful beaches in the Maritimes, like the Cavendish Provincial Park, or Greenwich. Our location in downtown Charlottetown is also a short drive to most golf courses, "Anne of Green Gables," attractions, lobster suppers, etc..

Compact Rooms
These rooms offer incredible luxury at a budget rate. These cozy rooms are perfect for a single occupant, or a pair of travelers on a budget. We have Compacts rooms with 2 twin beds, or 1 Queen sized bed. All of our compact rooms have a 3 pc (Sink, shower, toilet,) private en-suite bath. Two of our Compact rooms are on the 2nd floor (one flight of stairs,) and we have one on the 3rd floor (two flights of stairs.) All of these rooms contain air conditioning

Standard Rooms
These are our most popular rooms. They offer unprecedented comfort and splendor. We have Standard Rooms that have 1 Queen bed, 2 twin beds, or 2 double beds. Our Standard Rooms include a private en-suite bath with either 4 pc. (Shower, bathtub, sink, toilet,) or 3 pc. configurations. Most of our Standard Rooms have a pull out sofa bed, so make sure to request one with a Sofa bed if you require one. We have Standard Rooms located in all of our floors. All of these rooms contain air conditioning.

Deluxe Rooms
These rooms are almost exactly like our Standard Rooms, except that they also offer a wonderful balcony to enjoy those beautiful summer days we experience here in Charlottetown, PEI. We have Deluxe rooms with 1 Queen bed and a Sofa bed, or 2 Queen beds. All Deluxe rooms have a 4 pc. (Shower, bathtub, sink, toilet,) bath. We have one Deluxe room on each floor. All of these rooms contain air conditioning.

Economy Rooms (Half Basement.)
These rooms offer a Standard Room quality and comfort, at the rate of a Compact Room. These large and spacious rooms reside in our half basement part of our Inn. We have two of them and they both contain 2 twin beds, a sofa bed and a 4 pc. bath. A lot of people ask us about these rooms in relation to our Standard rooms, and frankly the only real difference is the size of the window (it’s a lot smaller in this room.) The size of the room and bathroom are identical. There is still Air conditioning and the same wonderful comfort that our other Standard Rooms offer.

The Junior Suite
This is our most unique room. We only have one of these! This is a beautiful room with a large TV, and a very comfortable Queen sized bed, and sofa. There’s a cute little breakfast nook, and a little kitchenette also included. This room also contains a beautiful 4 pc. bathroom that contains a single whirlpool tub. This is one of the few rooms with beautiful hardwood floors. This room is located right at the front of the house, which contains a lovely view of Grafton St. This room is perfect for honeymooners! This room also contains air conditioning. This room is on the 2nd floor.

Full Suites
These are our most luxurious rooms we offer. On top of beautiful hardwood floors, we have either 2 Queen beds, or 1 King sized bed and sofa, as well as a big screen tv, and dining room area with a kitchenette. These rooms also have a balcony attached to it, and a 4 pc. bath with a double whirlpool tub! This room also has air conditioning. Pictures do not do it justice, you have to come see it for yourself! We have three of these rooms; one on every floor.

Where is Heritage Harbour House Inn?
We are located in the heart of downtown Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. We are two blocks away from the downtown core, on Grafton St. Most shops and restaurants in the area are only a short walk away.

Charlottetown is almost right in the middle of PEI. It’s a perfect place to set up headquarters and relax. Most of the most beautiful beaches and parks on PEI are only 30 minutes away by car from our location.

Laundry Facilities
Our Guests love this amenity. This is perfect for for anyone who has been traveling for quite some time, and is running out of clean clothes! Everything you need for a wash and a dry cycle is here; the detergent is included, as well as an iron and ironing board. The machines are coin operated. They take Loonies (the $1 coin!) We can provide change at the desk. The Laundry room is located on the basement floor of Heritage Harbour House. It is open from 10am until 8pm.

Off Street Parking
Our parking lot has been recently extended to provide enough parking spaces for everyone in the building. The spaces are not assigned, but we guarantee there will be a spot for your vehicle. If you are bringing more than one vehicle for a one room reservation, make sure to tell us in advance. Extra parking does not cost a dime, it’s included in your room!

Sun Room, with self-serve coffee/tea station.
This is our beautiful new Sun Room. You can enjoy a nice tea, or coffee and some cookies, and relax in this cozy room. The sun pours in here during the day. It’s a wonderful place to read, socialize, or play card/board games. There’s a coffee/tea making station in this room, as well as an ice machine, and a microwave. A nearby library can be accessed for your reading pleasure.

Shaded Patios
We have two patios available to guests at all times. One on the second floor, and the other is on the 3rd. The patios are kept clean every day. We have a few tables for guests to use to serve food, or play card/board games. The tables can also be fitted with an umbrella during those hot sunny days. There are a few lounge chairs here as well in case you’re in the mood to sun bathe, or just doze off with a lovely book. The patios are a great place for guests to mingle and socialize.

Complimentary DVD Rentals
All of our rooms have a DVD player to compliment their television. You’re more than welcome to bring your own movies, but we have a decent library of titles that you can enjoy in your rooms. DVD rentals are free. Simply choose the movie you want, and bring it back when you’re finished. Our catalogue keeps growing, and there is something for everyone.

Public Computer / Free Wifi
This is our most popular amenity! We have a public computer for anyone who neglected (or maybe refused,) to bring their laptop. It’s connected to the internet and is completely free to use. The computer has Skype, and MSN installed, as well as the most recent web browsers. We also have Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi,) broadcast throughout the entire property, so if you brought you’re internet devices, you’ll be connected during your stay. The wireless internet access and the public is free of charge.

Bicycle Storage
This is our garage. Guests are more than welcome to use this facility to store their bicycles here. The garage is kept locked at all times, and only the owners have the key, so you can rest assured, your belongings will be safe at all times. Charlottetown is a very safe place and is virtually crime free, but it’s always nice to have that extra security for peace of mind.

English /French / Spanish / Dutch / Japanese speakers!
Here at Heritage Harbour House, we do our best to try to make everyone, of any ethnic background, as comfortable as possible. The owners, Arie, Jinny, and Mike van der Gaag speak English, French, Spanish and Dutch. Most of our staff members also speak Japanese. We use translation software at the front desk for anyone who may need it.

Non Smoking Environment.
All of our rooms are non smoking. The only place where one can smoke is on our balconies, and patios. There are no designated smoking areas in the house. The balconies, and patios have ashtrays provided.
