Welcome to the Dundee Arms Inn; a truly authentic Inn featuring 22 tastefully decorated rooms, our award winning Griffon Dining Room and the English-style Hearth and Cricket Pub. Over the years the Dundee Arms has developed an enviable reputation for hospitality, fine dining and gracious accommodations. Details of comfort and care ensure a most delightful stay. Guest robes, complimentary wireless Internet, expanded cable television, room-controlled air-conditioning, hair dryer, irons and beautiful Aveda soaps and shampoos are featured in all of our rooms. This Queen Anne revival mansion, constructed in 1903 by Lowe Bros. of Charlottetown for Mr. Parker Carvell. Together with his father, Lieutenant Governor Jedediah, Carvell operated a flourishing produce business and this building stood as a private residence until 1956. It was finally converted to an Inn in 1972. While extensive restorations have been carried out, the original character and charm of the property has been maintained.

Inn Rooms

Room 25 - Anne's Room
This room is named after L.M. Montgomery, world renowned author of "Anne of Green Gables". The room is furnished in rich mahogany with one queen bed and one double bed both with five star pillow top mattresses, 27 inch flat screen colored television with extended cable, telephone, voice mail, high speed wireless Internet, dvd player and remote, wing back chairs, air conditioning, walk-in closet, private bathroom with a single Jacuzzi, in floor heating and a glass encased shower. Room 26 - Jedediah's Room
This room features large windows, a beautiful Queen four poster canopy bed with a five star pillow top mattress, solid mahogany wood furniture, walk-in closet, ceiling fan, 27 inch flat screen colored television with extended cable, remote and a dvd player, telephone, voice mail, free high speed wireless Internet, air conditioning, private bathroom with a double Jacuzzi, glass encased shower and in-floor heating.

Room 27 - Parker Carvell Room
Located on the third floor of the Inn overlooking the front of the property this room is furnished in rich mahogany. A beautiful queen four poster bed is located in the tower of the room surrounded by three large windows. A brick exposed chimney and the sloping angle of the wall adds ambience and character to the room. This room also features a chesterfield that opens to a single bed, desk and chair, 32 inch flat screen television with extended cable, walk-in closet, air-conditioning, modern four piece bath and many modern amenities.

Room 28 - MacMillan Room
This room is located on the third floor of the Inn. It features a beautiful queen sleigh bed with a five star Simmons pillow top mattress, solid wood mahogany furniture, four piece modern bath, desk and chairs, 32 inch flat screen television with extended cable, walk-in closet, air- conditioning and many modern amenities.

Room 29 - The Clinton's Room
This room is located on the third floor of the Inn overlooking the maple trees at the side of the property. This room features large windows, a beautiful queen four poster bed with a Simmons five star pillow top mattress, solid wood mahogany furniture, walk-in closet, modern four piece bath, 32 inch flat screen television with extended cable, desk and chairs and many modern amenities.

Note: All of the Inn rooms are furnished with full length mirrors, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, telephone and terry bath robes. All rooms have computer hookups, free high speed Internet, coffee maker and coffee, message lamps and wake up calls.

Annex Rooms

Our newly renovated Annex is hotel chic at its best. It is here where luxury meets sophistication as these contemporary rooms are sure to excite all of the senses. All Annex rooms have private bathrooms, color tv with extended cable, high speed internet, small refrigerators, telephone, voice mail, hairdryers, irons/ironing board, bathrobes, in room coffee machines and air conditioned in the summer months. All Annex rooms are non-smoking.

The Superior Annex Rooms are newly renovated rooms in the Annex. They either have 2 double beds or 1 king bed. Each bed is equipped with a five star luxury mattress. Additionally these rooms include granite counter tops, glass encased shower or bath/shower combinations, microwaves and flat screen 26" wall mounted TV.

Inn Suites

Suite 23 - Chandler Suite
Located in the tower of the Inn overlooking the maple trees on the front lawn, this newly refurbished suite is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Furnished in a rich solid wood mahogany, this suite features an elegant queen sized four poster canopy bed with a five star mattress, a matching desk, armoire, table and chairs for two people, side table, a pull out single sofa bed, working propane fireplace, a wing back chair with stool, beautiful wall scones with a dimmer switch, 28 inch colored television with remote, cable, dvd player, telephone, voice mail, free high-speed wireless Internet, ceiling fan, walk-in closet and large richly decorated windows.

The bathroom of this suite is elegant with a granite counter top, double sinks, oval mirrors, large windows, a glass encased shower and a double heart shaped Jacuzzi.

Suite 24 - Lowe Suite
Located on the second floor of the Inn overlooking the maple trees, patio and garden at the front of the Inn, this suite is simply elegant. Featuring a large living room with bay windows, fireplace, solid rich mahogany furniture, pull out double hide-a-bed, air conditioning, telephone, voice mail, free high speed wireless internet and comfortable wing back chairs. One step down is your queen bed with a five star pillow top mattress. The bathroom features a double Jacuzzi and a glass encased shower. This suite is perfect for romance, business or entertaining.

Suite 30 - Victorian Suite
Located on the third floor of the Inn this suite features a queen and double bed each with a five star pillow top Simmons mattress, walk-in closet, air-conditioning, desk and chairs, sitting area, 32 inch flat screen television with extended cable, a large four piece modern bath with a double corner Jacuzzi and many modern amenities. The sloping walls add character and ambience to this suite.

Annex Suites

Annex Luxury Suite
This three room suite is luxuriously furnished in a rich mahogany with a beautiful king sleigh bed and a five star mattress, matching night tables, small dining area for two, leather chesterfield which can be used as a double pull out bed, desk and chair, full sized iron and ironing board, hairdryer, air conditioning, bathrobes, small refrigerator, in room coffee machine, a beautiful four piece bath with a double Jacuzzi, two telephones with computer hookups, voice mail, a 27 inch colored television with cable, remote and a DVD player.

Griffon Dining Room

The cuisine at the Griffon Dining Room enjoys a world-renowned reputation that has made Dundee Arms one of Charlottetown’s finest dining establishments. Menu items follow a seasonal theme and give emphasis to Island traditions. Fresh, locally grown produce is used in many entrée items, which enhance the flavour of our seafood, chicken, steak and pasta dishes. Guests can choose from an array of mouth watering dishes.

Our desserts are legendary and include such items as swiss hazelnut torte, chocolate amaretto cheesecake, Maple crusted Apple Pie, our famous Dundee maple buttertart and our Chef’s own Bread Pudding. Our pastry chef takes special care in using the freshest ingredients to ensure every bite is a true culinary experience. The only thing that rivals the food served is our attentive and friendly staff.

Hearth & Cricket Pub

Head south on Maple Hills Avenue. Turn right toward Brackley Point Road/Highway 15. Turn left at Brackley Point Road.Highway 15. Continue to follow Brackley Point Road. Take a slight right at St. Peters Road and continue on Longworth Avenue. Take a slight right at Euston Street and turn left at Pownal Street.
