Cavendish KOA puts you at the Heart of things...
Wide beaches. Red sandstone cliffs. White lighthouses gleaming against the setting sun. Prince Edward Island has it all, and the Cavendish KOA puts you at the heart of things.

The campground is just across the road from Cavendish Grove, PEI National Park on Route 6 between Cranberry Village and Avonlea Village. The farm immortalized in Anne of Green Gables is less than 1/2 mile from this KOA's open, grassy sites, and Avonlea Village is just next door.

When you're not off touring or basking on the beach, try the large heated pool. Enjoy the free Sunday night hot dog roast and many other planned events. Kids flock to the wading pool and Jumping Pillow.

Meet Your Hosts
Victor Purchased the Campground In 1992 and opened for business the summer of 1993 .He moved to Prince Edward Island From North Vancouver BC. He Met Kathleen His wife (originally from Newfoundland) in the winter of 1997 when they both worked at a french fry plant here on PEI . He considers her the love of his life and his right hand here at the campground.

Their Eldest Daughter Alicia can Be found working the store in the summer months when not spending time with her many friends and their youngest Andrew can either found on the jumping pillow or the playground making new friends.

Campground Activities
Kids Kamp
Come and have some fun with us Monday to Friday 9-11 in the activity room. We will be doing a little of everything the main goal of kids kamp is to have fun and learn a few new things.

Sunday Night Free Hot Dog Roast
Let us buy dinner for you and the kids every Sunday night weather permitting meet at the group fire pit in the main park 7-9 and we supply everything you need. This is a great social event meet your fellow campers and find out where they are from and where they are traveling to. You might find a long lost friend or relative hope to see you there.

Wagon Ride
Climb aboard our wagon that is towed by the bubble blowing tractor every evening at 7 pm for a ride around the campground and through the woods.

Tye-dye Fun
Come and let us help you make a one of kind souvenir. Make your self a t-shirt pillow case or even a pair of tye-dye socks. This year we will once again be making Island mud Tye-dye Shirts.

Petting Zoo
Come meet and pet some farm animals. This is time to get up and close with your barn yard friends .But do not forget to stop and play with the kittens always the favorite.

Wet Wagon Ride
Every Sat Afternoon join us for a fun wet time Bring your water guns and water balloons you will get wet .We run rain or shine but please arrive early as we will fill up and we only run one due to set up time.

Top Your Own Sundae
I scream, you scream, we all scream for sundaes! We serve up your favorite toppings such as chocolate syrup and whipped cream, and a chance to mingle with your fellow campers.

Jumping Pillow
What do you get when you cross a trampoline with a bounce castle? A jumping pillow! This safe activity provides countless hours of exercise and entertainment for the young and the young at heart.

Weekend Pancake Breakfast
At our pancake breakfasts we serve up a scrumptious stack of pancakes hot off the griddle. We round out the meal with sausage links, coffee and orange juice. You eat up; we'll clean up!

Outdoor Cinema
The outdoor cinema is like a drive-in movie without the car. You can enjoy a family-oriented film under the stars. Grab your blanket and some change for the concession stand for freshly popped popcorn, tasty treats and drinks. Be prepared to get comfortable and enjoy the show!

Candy Bar Bingo
This is the game for both young and old all you need is sweet tooth and a candy bar to play. But win and you will going home with a great big smile and a whole lot of bars.

Night Time Treasure Hunt
We hide the surprises (look for the yellow bags) you supply a flashlight together we will all have some hunting fun.

Scavenger Hunt
Go by yourself or make a team to hunt the Campground for list of interesting stuff (new lists each week) prizes for the first back with all the stuff. Do not forget to come back after 20 min even if you do not have every thing as there will be a door prize for some lucky camper.

Kamp K-9 Dog Park
After a long day of traveling Take you dog to the Cavendish KOA off leash Dog Park. There is a double entrance gate, lots of agility items and we supply the pick up bags for the dog park and a place for you sit as they have fun.

Cavendish Beach Trolley
Leave the driving to us and take the shuttle to the beach. Operates daily every hour in peak season. Rates by person or family and daily or weekly inquire at KOA office.

Local Attractions
Green Gable House

Built in the mid-1800s, this house belonged to cousins of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s grandfather. Their farm inspired the setting for her first novel Anne of Green Gables. This House has been refurbished to portray the 1890s setting described in the novel. On the grounds, the Balsam Hollow and Haunted Woods trails feature some of Montgomery’s favorite woodland haunts including Lovers Lane. Open May 3 to November 1 daily.

Prince Edward Island National Park
Preserving 40km of the island’s north shore, the park features sand dunes, beaches, red sandstone cliffs, salt marches, fresh water ponds, woodlands and wildlife. Facilities are available for swimming, hiking, cycling, picnicking, golf, and tennis. It is open year-round, although some facilities are closed in the off season.

Lucy Maud Montgomery Birthplace
Lucy Maud Montgomery was born in 1874 in this modest white and green home overlooking New London Harbor. The interior is decorated with authentic Victorian period pieces, providing an appropriate setting for the memorabilia on display. Among the special exhibits are the writer’s wedding dress and her personal scrap-books containing copies of her many stories and poems. Open May 23 through Thanksgiving.

Shining Waters Family Fun Park
Atlantic Canada's brand new amusement park is located right next door to the Cavendish KOA. This is a 40-acre amusement park offering boating lakes, boats, rides, water slides, games, live animals, etc. A large number of live and animated shows are run daily. The park includes gift shops, food outlets and food catering for groups of 20 or more.

Wax World of the Stars
Stargazers will be thrilled to get up close with the galaxy of stars from movies, television, music and children's fantasy as they wander through Wax World of the Stars. There are themed settings, videos, sound effects, interactives, illusions, and movie/TV memorabilia. This celebrity gathering has thrilled thousands of fans in just two years as they've relived great moments in the entertainment biz! A cast of characters you won't want to miss. Life-like wax figures by a selected team of artisans. You can take photos if you would like. It's as much fun as you can handle.

Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Museum
Have you ever touched the Berlin Wall, stood beside the world's tallest man, or seen a shrunken head? All of this and more is possible at Ripley's. Our museum has 14 galleries containing rare collections of figures, illusions, artifacts and 10 videos. You will leave each gallery with a true feeling of amazement. Imagine a pencil with the alphabet inscribed by a chainsaw in 22 minutes. Seeing is Believing! Cameras are allowed. This attraction is fun and ageless. Your discovery of the world of the unknown begins as you enter Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum.

Confederation Center of the Arts
This Center Features three theaters, Atlantic Canada’s largest art gallery, library, gift shops, and restaurants. Home of the Charlottetown Festival musical Ann of Green Gables. There are free performances, tours and gallery exhibitions. It is open year-round.

Province House National Historic Site
Considered the "Birthplace of Canada" the first meetings to discuss federal union were held here in 1864. The Confederation Chamber and several other rooms have been restored to their 19th Century appearance. The building also houses the Provincial Legislature. A short audio-visual presentation and displays explain the history of the site. Open year-round.

Burlington Amusement Park and Go-Karts
Enjoy a day of fun featuring the island’s largest 1/2 mile track with the fastest karts. There are three sizes of karts - Single-driver, formula karts and doubles for adult and child. Bumper boats, bumper cars, trampolines, batting cages, shooting gallery and a roller coaster are also available. There is a challenging 18-hole mini golf course. Some ride restrictions may apply. Canteen services are available. It is open May through September.

Aiden's Deep-Sea Fishing/Fish Market
Open from July, 2nd to September, 15th

"Papa's Gem" and "Lexi D" are government-approved boats with washroom facilities aboard. Enjoy complimentary coffee on morning trip. Rods and rain gear are supplied at no extra charge. Fish are filleted and ice is supplied. Canteen services are available. Live and cooked lobster and fresh seafood are available daily at our fish market on the premises. They have been in business since 1957. Interac, MC, V accepted.

Daily sailings: 8 am, 1:15 pm and 6 pm (5:30 pm after Aug 20). Deep-sea: $40 adults, $30 children (12 and under).

Haunted Mansion
Open from June, 11th to September, 11th A Fun-Time Haunt Experience! The Mad Dr's Spooky Haunted Mansion is a family-friendly haunt for all ages. Explore three floors full of spooks including the recreated creepy streets of London deep in the cellar. Play in the Dr.'s secret water gardens and enjoy carnival-style rides in Dr. Jacks Playland! We're waiting for you! Open late Oct for Halloween - Nights of Fear event. Jun and Sep, 10 am-5 pm; Jul and Aug, 9 am-7 pm. Oct hours vary, children (6-16), 5 yrs. and under free.

Crossfire Adventure Paintball
...PEI's newest and most realistic Scenario paintball. If you've never played paintball before, this is the place to start, if you have played, then you'll find Crossfire as challenging as it gets.
