Vakona Forest LodgeAndasibe MadagascarA home away from home is the best way to describe the Vakona Forest Lodge. Breathtaking views and a closeness with nature is what the lodge provides guests, being situated right next to the rainforest. The lodge comprises of 24 bungalows, each having ensuite facilities. Also in the bungalows are a safe. mini-bar and electric heaters for the colder nights. The beds are all fitted with mosquito nets to ensure peaceful sleep. The main lodge has a large central fireplace where guests can relax. Also, there is a bar, and restuarant which serves scrumptious meals, while taking in a view of the forest. Guests can also sit on the outside veranda which is directly facing the lake and enjoy the tranquility of the lake. For more fun and excitement, there is a games room which is accessible to guests, along with a swimming pool in which guests can cool down from the hot Malagasy sun. The lodge is in close proximity of not only the forest, but the Perinet National Park. Guests can wake up to the lovely call of the Indri, which is the largest member of the lemur family, and is Indigenous to Madagascar. FACILITIES:
